This is as close to a NEW 1999 Mercedes S Class LWB as possible, and may have the lowest miles, and be closest to a new car, than any other S-500 in the world. This car truly belongs in a museum, or in the collection of someone who truly appreciates the last year model of the big, luxurious, quiet Mercedes S Class - the flagship of the Mercedes Line in the 1990's. This car was purchased new in the San Francisco Bay Area at the Mercedes dealer, and was used for a short time before the owner was called to a position overseas. When he left, the car was covered and stored in a heated garage for about 8 years. When the owner returned briefly in 2007, he placed the car into service, but first had the Mercedes dealer change all of the fluids and balance and rotate the wheels (Have copy of work order). He then only used the car for a very short while before departing once again, at which time he placed the car back into the garage, covered, where it stayed with almost exactly 2,000 miles on it. In 2011, Mercedes Road service came to the garage, installed a new battery, and the car sprang to life, ready for its next adventure. THIS MERCEDES STILL SMELLS NEW, AND LOOKS NEW. In addtition to all the standard luxury options, it has a rear Window Sun Shade, six CD stacker, automatic climate control, Factory telephone, Electro-pneumatic Door and Trunk closing Assist, express up and down dual pane power windows, Xenon High Density Discharge Headlamps, Rain Sensing windshield wipers, Glass Sunroof, with pop-up feature and heated front AND rear leather seats. The Exterior color is Smoke Silver, and the leather interior is Parchment, the window sticker indicates that in 1999 this car sold for $90,290. The car has never had any body work, no accidents - never even a door ding. It is without flaws, except that several of the wheels have "parking scuffs," which I have tried to show in the pictures. Sometimes life does provide a "second chance," and this is yours to buy what is essentially an as NEW 1999 Mercedes S500 long wheel base sedan. Many believe this was the last of the great Mercedes vehicles before the "plastic era" became the rule of the day.
