Up for sale is a tastefully modified Rabbit diesel truck. This is a southern truck that is 100% rust free as seen from the undercarriage pictures. This truck was not built by MF Auto, but has had some finishing touches made by us. This truck has had a bunch of recent service, with alot of money being spent in the right areas. The motor has been freshened up in the past 500 miles including new rings, bearings, complete head job including new guides and 3 angle valve job. The injection pump was professionally rebuilt and calibrated to factory specs at the same time. The engine starts great in cold weather, with very little smoke. Engine has no oil or fuel leaks of any kind and the 5 speed transmission shifts smooth with great clutch actuation. Steering is solid, the brakes are in good shape with a good firm pedal, all wheel bearings are smooth and truck rides and drives surprisingly well for how low it sits. This truck also has a newer Interstate battery installed. The front of the truck has been lowered with coilovers and the rear has been lowered with drop plates. If anyone bidding would prefer to have the truck at stock ride height we can raise it back up using factory Bilstein front struts with stock springs and remove the rear drop plates before delivery. Most of the paint on the truck is original, although the truck has had the front end converted to the single round headlights. The paint on the front of the truck has been matched to the original paint on the rear of the truck very well. Although that paint work on the front is far from show paint it looks nice up close and again looks right next to the original paint on the truck. The front bumper is a Euro rabbit bumper with inpro smoked lenses and the truck now has a brand new set of tail lights installed that were not installed at the time of the pictures being taken. The wheels are Polished Schmidt modern lines in a 15x8 fitment with 195-45-15 Toyo T1R's that have roughly 60% tread remaining. The wheels are missing one center cap and the rear tires do have side wall rub marks but is normal for a lowered truck. The interior is in above average condition with nice clean carpet, dash, door panels, and seats. The drivers seat does have a few very small holes in the fabric. The only thing not finished would be that headliner needs recovered. I would get in this truck and drive it most anywhere without thinking twice although anyone bidding please understand this is still a 30 year old truck and I would not suggest driving long distances. Instead we suggest shipping and can help arrange setting it up. Also to anyone one that is interested in this truck that has not owned an old VW or an old "diesel VW". Please do your research and understand exactly what your buying as some people feel that these vehicles are rustic and out dated. A few issues the truck has that need to be mentioned is that there is a AC line missing from the compressor to the drier, but the rest of the system is intact. So at this time the ac is not functional. The heat works well and the heater core is brand new although someone took the short cut route and cut half of the front of the heater box out to the job instead of pulling it out properly, but again this does not affect the heater in the truck. One last thing is that the vent windows need rebuilt and are held in with screws.
