Vehicle Detail
Pros. New clutch and exhaust housings, new heater core, new water pump (both sides) new brakes and rotors, good tires, new shocks,6 disk changer works great, good condition for the most part. Cons. the biggest problem just started. It runs okay when its cold, has some power, idles a bit low but not bad. but when it starts to warm up it wont run at all. the symptom just started but seems to be getting worse i.e. it starts dying sooner that before, now like 1 minute. Before this started happening, it was pretty good. the idle gets a bit low and rough when it would arm up, but it was a very functional car. it would easily break 120 plus, maybe above 140. still not full power though. the driver window keeps popping out as soon as the weather freezes. i put it back once a year but never glue it. one of the rear widows wont work, i think its the little switch incert. It has been off the road for over a year, the battery is dead, and it seems to be showing a short or power drain of some kind. this may be something as simple as replacing a light bulb or relay. I havent had time to investigate it further, but it hasnt had any electrical problems before, and ALL of the wireing seems to be in really good condition. as I just washed it, I noticed a tiny bit of rust starting under the passenger door. its not really vissable yet, but I could feel it start to bubble a little on the very bottom you cant really see it on either side f the door. other than that there is no rust. It has a couple good dings on the hood (shown in pics). Other than those there are many tiny scratches and dings, but nothing major. as you can see the rims are starting to corrode a bit, but they were over $1000 a piece new and you can get them refinished for about $130 a piece. the spare is good, the shifter cap is missing, many of the bmw emblems on rims missing and the window cleaner may not be working. It says m540i in the badge, but i think the previos owner put that on. I dont think its a real m-sport. the back end usualy sit more agressive, i think I parked funny I think thats it, the sun roof works great. I will miss this car. Good Luck
