I have a 1971 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 which is a real Formula 400 accourding to the vin and cowl tag. Car is an original California made car and has little rust which is all surface rust... 400 sbc engine which to appear that it has been worked on... seems to have a new carb and other parts replaced. Car runs and drives but needs a tune up since it seems to be missing... still has the old points and condesor ignition system.. rear differential is a 10 bolt and is leaking but as I stated, car drives so drive train seems to be good. Car does need a new alternator since this one is bad. car has power disk brakes that work and power steering that also works. I replaced the rear window since it was broken at a storage yard so there is some broken glass still inside the car. The interior needs total restoration. no headliner or sails, needs rear deck cover, front dash is cracked, carpet is old, rear side panels are old and cracked, right front door panel missing, drivers door panel is junk but door windows roll up and down as they should and door closes correctly and door locks work perfectly on doors and trunk. front windshield is cracked. the console has all the gauges as the trans am does and everything seems to work except for the rpm. all lights and directionals work except for the right front headlamp. someone decided to cut the plug off of it but wiring is there. the rust areas are as pictured, on the colomn area and on the passenger side of the roof rail... trunk and floor pans and suspension are all good. I have a clean california title with new plates so there is no title issue or outdated title to contend with. Car is a great project and can bring in some $$ when done. this is sitting in my driveway and need to make some room.. please email me if any questions... winning bidder is responsible for transportation and I require a $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit at end of auction.
