One of the rarest fairlanes, a 2 door hardtop. Unmolested interior, very solid with a very very small amount of rust on the floorboard in front of the front seat the size of a quarter. I bought this to restore and have installed a 302 with a 4speed automatic AOD tranny. Presently the engine in place was installed to line up the drive train and I planned on replacing it with a crate motor before driving, the car needs a compleat restoration but this is the most rust free 57 you'll find.including the under-carriage All the parts are here and if it wasn't for a health issue I would keep it. But I have come to the conclusion that I will never be able to restore this true classic. I also installed a disc brake setup on the front and had aquired the correct seats for the model and year, my intentions were to have a very stock looking 57 with updated engine, transmission and brakes. As you can see there is a dent in the trunk lid from someone pushing the car, the bumper is in the trunk and is undamaged, the trunk closes perfect.The right rear shock mount is broken and I found the factory repair bracket as this was a common failure for this model. I'm an serious collector and this just happens to be the car that I sell first as I reduce my inventory but I have no intension of giving it away.
