Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1968 RS Camaro. This car is a very solid car. It is a teal blue color with black stripes. This car is all steel except the hood scoop which is fiberglass. The windows are all glass (not lexan) and are all in very good condition. The front windows roll up and down as they should. The car is powered by a 420ci Dart SBC with a Hughes powerglide and 12 bolt rear end. It runs extremely well and is very consistant. I just had the engine and transmission completely rebuilt 6 months ago and it only has been used for three races last summer. Because of circumstances I need to sell this awesome Camaro. The engine is a Dart Little M block with AFR 220 Heads and the following components: Comp solid roller cam, crane roller lifters, roller rockers, system one oil filter, super victor intake, Holley 1050 Competition Dominator, Msd distributor, gear reduction starter, Manley valve springs, hooker headers, CSI electric water pump, milodon pan, Eagle crank and rods, SRP pistons, cloyes aluminum timing cover, and lots more. It is a very well built motor and is very expensive to build. If you price the parts alone, it is nearly $15,000 worth of top of the line quality stuff. The transmission is a Hughes power-glide with a 5500 stall converter and a pro trans brake. It has an aluminum pan, SFI transmission shield, SFI flex plate, and SFI flexplate shield. This transmission works very well. The tin work is all complete on the car. It has a chromoly funny car cage that is painted to match the exterior. It looks really nice. It has a current NHRA 8.50 certification. Withe one small bar added next to the driver's seat it will certify to 7.50. this car currently runes high 9's with the setup that is in it. It has a Dedenbear CC3 Command Center delay box, Auto Meter Pro-comp 2 Ulra Lite Tach, line lock, shift solenoid, msd 6al ignition box, msd 3 step, and lots lots more. This car is all current and ready to race now!! The paint on the car is in reall good shape. The hood has some cracking where the fiberglass hood scoop was molded in. Also, the lower valance on the front has a dent and could use a repaint. I have taken pictures of these areas so you can see them. If you were to build this car it would cost more than double my buy-it-now price. It is a real RS Camaro with thousands and thousands of dollars invested. It could even be converted back to a street car fairly easily. I would possibly entertain a part trade for the car but only if the buyer is willing to pay for delivery to my house.
