Up for auction is a 2004 BMW R1150RT motorcycle. It is in excellent condition, rides, runs and shifts great. Don't be deterred by the mileage as the original owner up to 1 year ago had this serviced always at a BMW dealer where his son worked as a mechanic. There is a complete set of maintenance records about 40 pages long. The trans was replaced under warranty around 25k miles. The most recent item was installation of new throttle bodies a year ago. The bike does not use any oil and the oil was just changed a few miles ago. Upgrades are Ohlins shocks, bar risers, has a new Givi windscreen, head guards, has both the standard stock riders seat and Seargent low seat, and BMW center box with backrest pad. Other factory items are heated grips, and side boxes, it does not have the stereo option however. The paint is in excellent condition, very shinny, and there are absolutely no issues, the bike runs very strong and handles great, it looks and rides like a low mileage bike. The reserve is priced to sell given the upgrades and condition of the bike. I doubt you can find another BMW in this condition for the money. Thus the engine has about 50K miles.
