Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 86 Mazda RX7 with a chevy 355, A 350 bored 30 over. Has a 700r4 Automatic transmission with OD lockup. Car has 1,000 Miles on it! This car is awesome, fast and well built. Everything mechanical on this car is new or rebuilt. The engine was built by a professional mechanic who builds race cars for all the local drivers. I basically said put in it what you would put in yours, Thats reliable, long lasting and powerful without overstressing engine parts. That is exactly what I got, a very solidly built engine not overly powerful, but just enough to propel this car like a rocket! It has a new cam, all the engine bearings, fuel pump, Oil pump, oil pan, alternator, timing set, all new gaskets, freeze plugs, Lifters valves, valve springs, Valve seats, a valve job was done. Headman headers going to indvidual pipes on each side to mufflers, no cat. It is essentially brand new, I'm sure I'm forgetting parts. Has a MSD distributor and coil, Holley street avenger 670cfm 4 barrel, Edelbrock performer intake, Engine is cooled with a summit racing brand new radiator, with built in transmission cooler, Has two electric fans, #1 is controled with a temperature sensor, #2 Is on a switch for emergency use I have never had to use it, It could be easily wired to a sensor if you would like. All the brake parts have been replaced on all four wheels, Calipers, rotors, pads, flex lines, also replaced the wheel bearings while I was at it. All four shocks are brand new, fronts are kgx adjustables, the back are monroes (Thats all I could find for the back) All new rims (MB Wheels Brand) New kumho Tires. Has a cd player with aux input, I also welded up some skid wheels on the front you can see them in the picture. Are driveways here in michigan always have steep approaches, This lifts the car enough so you don't hit the front bumper on the ground. Kinda cool and works well, but can be easily removed if you don't need them. The car is really low so it comes in handy The transmission has been rebuilt, once again I said put in it what you would want, So it got new bands, a shift kit, several internal parts that I have no idea what they do. All the mounting brackets for the engine and transmission came from grannys speed shop, including the driveshaft. It has a summit racing fuel cell, autometer gauges in the dash for speed, rpms and fuel level. The temperature, voltage and oil pressure gauges are sunpros mounted on the dash with a summit gauge pod. B&M shifter, quick car ignition and start button (still need the key in it to start, so someone can't just jump in and take it. The power windows work, including the moonroof. Has a new paint job and body kit the whole car has been undercoated, and every possible area I could get two has been sprayed. I used truck bed coating on the bottom edge of the side skirts and bumpers to protect from road debrie. The car was not rusty when I got it, so only dents where repaired. I don't think you will ever have to worry about rust on this vehicle. Now for the Cons: Windshield wipers are unpluged, Not sure why but they want to work backwards and go down instead of up, I never worried about it because I only drove it on nice days. The passager side door only opens from the inside, I think The clip broke off inside the door that connects the rod to the handle, not a big deal I just reach over and open it for the passanger. The power locks don't work, once again not a big deal you just push the lock when you get out, the heat and air have been removed so its windows down in the summer, and I'm sure you don't need heat because this is not a winter car. The paint job is not the greatest, it was sprayed in my garage so its not like a new car glass looking finish, I'm not a pro painter so there are some spots that arent perfect. It looks amazing from 15-20 feet but up close you can find things that aren't perfect. Overall this is a pretty sweet really fast and well built car, I really love it, but I recently bought my dream car (69 mustang) and really want to get started on that, I only have the money and room for one, so the rx7 must go! Please ask any questions you may have, I'm sure I forgot something on here.
