1964 Galaxie 500 Fastback z-code 390 4 speed. Great driver and a huge hit at the car shows. Car was restored 13 years ago and was the previous owners pride and joy. Gentleman passed away and the car was stored for 12 years before I purchased it. Car drives great but need to sell with an upcoming layoff from work. The car is not a numbers matching car, but does have a 69 390 GT Short Block with 1974 heads. These have the hardened valve seats so you can run unleaded gas without any problems. The previous owner only put 2500 miles on it after he restored it. The color is the correct color for the code on the door (xm, a burgundy metallic). The white vinyl top is in outstanding condition with no tears or rips. The tan interior is in very nice condition, no rips or tears. The rubber moldings around the doors and trunk etc. are all soft and like new. The paint has some chips that have been touched up, a small ding around the antenna, floors are solid and the body is clean. The car has a new dual exhaust with a x-pipe and straight through style mufflers. Chrome headers and old school lakewood traction bars. Us national tach, power steering and brakes and a Borg Warner 4-speed correct for the model year of the car. Rear end is a 9 inch with 3.50 gears, new tires and brakes, wheels are old school keystone et 14 inch. So cool! Trunk is clean with only small amount of surface rust easily corrected, no holes or serious rust issues. Floor mat, jack is all there, chrome is nice with all the mouldings. The rear bumper does have some pitting on it. Windshield does have a small star that is easily filled, and new windshields are available if you want them. All other glass is in good shape. I reserve the right to end the auction early, as the car is a big hit at the car shows, and is for sale locally. The car is sold as is, with no warranties implied, and no refunds.
