This is a 1953 Dodge Power Wagon with a water truck back. It was originally owned by the Healdsburg, CA fire department. The original pump was removed at the time of purchase and we plumbed in a small gas pump to get water out of it. There are two tanks in the back that hold about 250 gallons combined. The fire department maintained straight 6 engine has always run smoothly in the past, however right now the starter kicks over but it is not catching. I could not get it to start in the half hour I spent looking at it. The brakes have not been as reliable. Everything is there but they never seem to hold their firmness and the master cyclendar always needed fluid. I have used the PTO driven winch a few times and it is pretty remarkable. There is a master brake lock lever to lock all four wheels while you pull just about anything with it. The body on this truck really needs some attention. The seat and headliner are gone or rotted out. The paint is rusting off in many places. There are a few scrapes on the front fenders (pictured) but overall it is straight.
