1958 BMW 501 V-8. Nicknamed the: “Barockengel” (Baroque Angel) How many of these have you seen around? Here is an opportunity to buy an interesting car with no reserve. Highest bid wins. This car has been sitting for over 20 years, last started 5 years ago. Located in Vienna VA, this car has most of the components to make it new again however it needs work. I don't know the true milage of the car. Odometer reads 11960 KM - however, the car is almost 54 years old - the odometer may have turned. The car has a sun roof, original radio and gauges. The engine is complete but has not been started in 5 years. The front and rear bumpers and several parts of the trim seen in the pictures are placed in position for picture taking and will need to be attached. The car is missing the passenger seat and the interior of the car will need to be re-done as it is old. The floor on the driver side has a hole, the rest is there but weak. The trunk is intact but also thin with rust. The brake pedal and clutch are in position but not attached to anything - needless to say the car is not drivable but it rolls and turns easily. There is a box in the trunk with spare trim & car parts and two wheels (no tires). The car has a roll back sun roof and you will notice in the pictures that there is a dent on the roof which may have damaged the wind shield. The car does not have a front wind shield. The trim for the windshield is in the trunk as well. The color of the car is brown however it looks like the original color may have been an off-white color. There is no reserve - higest bidder wins - why not make this a fun Holiday Season for someone that wants a BMW that's a little different from the rest? This car is sold AS-IS with a notorized Bill of Sale as the title was lost a long time ago, New titles are easy to get through companies like Broadway Tile and others. NOTE: The car is not perfect, it will need to be towed, it looks good at 30 feet, it is a conversation piece and will make you a star at any car meet that you take it to in the future.
