This special car was produced in a two-year run from 1973 to 1974. This Trans Am features the ultra-high-performance 455 SD engine and is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. This car was special ordered to Don Medow Pontiac in South Bend Indiana. A well-optioned example, the customer had the dealer install the 4-speed manual transmission. You could not have the 4-speed backed SD455 cars equipped with air conditioning from the factory at the time due to the high revving nature of the specially built engine. This amazing example has accrued less than 12,000 original miles as verified by previous owners. The condition of the car certainly reflects this. This is the fabled 455SD engine. This is the original engine with the correct cylinder heads (16), the correct block (132), the correct LS2X intake 495107, and the correct carburetor (7044270. Close inspection of the engine compartment will confirm this to be a high quality survivor SD455 Trans Am. The exterior displays the original Cameo white finish in excellent condition. You'll notice the original lettering decals are all in place and showing very well. Look closely and you'll see the original body mouldings are in place. This Trans Am was also ordered with drip rail guards and door edge guards. The interior displays original components throughout. The machine-turned dash and rally gauges are in excellent condition. This is a very well preserved Trans Am. The upholstery is in excellent condition and original. The trunk displays the original jacking equipment and spare tire/wheel. The factory decals and markings are intact. The original door sticker is in place and legible. The door panels are original and the door undersides are solid. The customer had this 4-speed manual transmission and console installed by the dealer before he took delivery. This Trans Am is also optioned with the electric rear window defogger. This muscular stance is courtesy of the 15-inch Honeycomb wheels wrapped in Uniroyal Steel Belted Radials.
