Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1960 Cadillac Coupe. This car is in very good condition, and it runs and drives even better than it looks. I have been using it as my daily driver for the past 2 months with no problems whatsoever. It cruises at 75 on the freeway and feels solid and has no problem sitting in traffic. All the electrical works properly, the interior is immaculate, original chrome is great, and the older paint still looks very presentable and shines nice. The car is slammed on about 3k worth of Cadillac wire wheels and radial wide white wall tires, also it has a nice stereo in it as well. This car has no problems mechanically and looks great. It snaps necks wherever it goes, you will be buying a solid 60 Caddy that is ready to be driven, I will do my best to describe the car below… DRIVETRAIN- car has its correct 390 engine and hydramatic transmission. The engine runs great and I would assume has been rebuilt at one time, it starts with a bump of the key, idles smooth and super quiet and makes no strange noises or smoke. I rebuilt the carter carb, converted it to a brand new alternator and put a new battery in it before I started to use it as my driver a couple months ago, previous owner had the water pump rebuilt and put a new fuel pump on it. Once again the car runs great. The transmission was fully rebuilt by the previous owner a few years ago and shifts great, I do have the receipt for it (almost $3,000 worth of transmission work). SUSPENSION- car is lowered on custom made lowering springs ( not just hacked up original springs ) I bought the car this way and I do not remember who did them but the car rides nice still for being 4 inches off the ground, the shocks are also aftermarket made for the lower ride height, the ball joints have been replaced, steering is tight and the car drives straight It has reporduction vintage Cadillac 52 spoke wire wheels in excellent condition ($2,000) and BF Goodrich silvertown radial wide whitewalls with great tread ($900). BODY- the exterior of the car is in good un-restored condition. It has been repainted its original color many years ago but still looks good. The paint has chips and scratches but still shines. The car has some little dings here and there but no big dents or major damage. The car was from California and is very solid for being 52 years old. The floors and trunk are completely rust free. The paint on the lower front fenders have a couple small bubbles which is typical for all classic Cadillacs but the rest of the car seems completely solid. Overall a small amount of body work and a new paint job would make this car show worthy, but it still looks very nice as is. EXTERIOR- the chrome on this car is in excellent original condition. The front and rear bumpers are perfectly straight and have no rust or pitting on them, all the stainless trim is intact including the usually missing long side trim and headlight eyebrows. There are no broken plastic lenses and all the glass is in perfect condition. INTERIOR- the interior of the car is in excellent condition. The front and rear seats, carpet kit, package tray and door sill plates have all been replaced with upholstery from OPGI, the door panels and headliner are original and in perfect condition as well. There is a digital custom auto sound stereo installed which fits in the original radio area, it also hooks up to your ipod and has a usb port. It has a Kenwood amp under the seat and kenwood speakers, the stereo sounds good. All the chrome inside is very nice also. ELECTRICAL- all the electrical on this car works great, all of the power windows and all the individual switches work great, the 6 way power seat works, all the exterior/ interior lights work. Dome lights come on when the doors open, dash lights, glove box light, fender turn signal indicators all work. Speedometer, gas gauge and temp guage work, windshield wipers work. The blower motor works but the heater core is not hooked up, im assuming the core needs redone and then the heater will work again. Car does not have factory A/C. * Car has a clean California title with current registration, it will come with its original books and owners manual and 2 sets of keys. I will have the car listed locally and therefore reserve the right to end the auction early. I encourage anyone serious about purchasing the car to set up an appointment with me to view it in person, if you are not able to do so please feel free to ask any serious questions you might have prior to bidding and I will do my best to respond in a timely manor. Please keep in mind this is an un restored car and it is being sold as is. PAYMENT- Non-refundable deposit of $1,000 due through paypal within 24 hours of auction ending, car is to be paid in full within 3 days. I prefer paypal to be used for the deposit only. I will accept cash in person, bank wire transfer or a bank cashiers check. Thank you On Dec-03-11 at 20:04:22 PST, seller added the following information: I need to sell the car so I just lowered the reserve price to 19,500 . Happy bidding
