Vehicle Detail

This is a 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk (57H-K7 4148) with parts from another 1957 Golden Hawk. I have owned this car since 1972 and car is complete. Original 289, supercharged engine and 3-spd automatic transmission were removed in anticipation of overhaul. Engine was dismantled. Engine parts including intact supercharger, and transmission are among the parts. Original 289 block is not available, but another 289 block is among the parts. Currently in the car is a 259 V8 w/ 3-spd automatic (vintage unknown). Original fan, pulley and bracket assembly, and radiator hose coupling have been sandblasted and powder coated (black) (see photos). Windshield is cracked, but all other glass is in good condition. Body has considerable rust, but I believe this vehicle can be restored. Lots of additional parts were obtained from a 1957 Golden Hawk parts car, including: dismantled, but apparently complete McCulloch supercharger, carburetor housing for supercharger, pulley and bracket assembly for supercharger, front left fender, chrome trim pieces, dash gauges. In addition an NOS 289 crankshaft and complete 289 rebuild gasket set were purchased and are among the parts. Crankshaft was coated with STP and stored vertically. Also included are a parts book and service manual. I had planned to restore this vehicle, but priorities have changed and I would like to see this vehicle utilized. Vehicle is not driveable and will need to be trailered to destination. Shipping/transport is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will assist, where possible, with the transfer. I have a clear title to this vehicle. Conditions of sale: $500 non-refundable deposit must be placed within 48 hours of auction completion. Vehicle will be released upon payment of remaining balance. I would like to have the vehicle removed within 14 days but, if necessary, other arrangements may be made at the time of sale. I am happy to answer any questions about this car. My name is Jeff, email questions or call at 206-948-8430.
