Vehicle Detail
The drive train is stock and it has only 74K original miles! It has 304 V8 engine with the 727 3-spd auto tranny, 4-wheel drive, 2 brl Holley carb. The A/C worked last time it was used but it has been a few years ago because we drive it these days with the top off. Three years ago the wiring harness and interior wires were replaced. Extras: A 3-inch lift kit installed with steering rag-joint properly replaced with u-joint connector. Included is a custom made roll bar (has optional full cage bar), bumper hitch receiver and air shocks. The paint and body is in very decent shape with a dent here or there. Rally stripes replaced 8 years ago. Interior add-ons: G/T sport steering wheel, JVC (detachable face) radio/CD with 1000W Sound Storm amplifier, 4 Digital Audio speakers, CB radio with PA speaker. Installing carpet, repainted shifting console, and replacing old seat storage-box with the good Tuffy box unit all lends to a snappy look, improved comfort, and better storage. The bucket seats are nicely restitched with the matching exterior colors. Overall: Scout enthusiasts will recall how naturally cold natured these trucks are. When it warms up the engine runs strong and purrs smoothly at idle. This Texas Scout has been and is garage-stored. I opt to drive it in our fairer climate without the hard top (repainted white with new headliner; garage-stored). It has not been "off-road" much at all and is responsibly driven. This Scout has been well cared for in the 10 years I’ve owned it. I maintain records and receipts for improvements and maintenance. It has the usual dings, imperfections becoming of a 1977 Scout driven occasionally. The body and coating not perfect, but still gets “thumbs-up” and nods from passer-bys. As expected, this unit is being sold "AS-IS", and bidders are encouraged to ask questions to be fully satisfied upon becoming the sucessful bidder. This is a goodern! Hardtop included; it is easily removed/installed.
