1972 MOTION CAMARO SS 402 4spd rotisserie frame off NEW!! NO RESERVE!!! MUSEUM QUALITY MUSCLE CAR!!! 1972 Motion Camaro SS 402 4spd This car is a fresh and complete rotisserie frame off restoration. Every nut, bolt, line, cable, and mechanical part was removed and either meticulously restored or replaced with a new part. NOS parts were used if available. The bottom received as much attention and detail as the top. You are looking at a brand new Motion Camaro in every way. Nothing on it fails to look new and correct. Much time was spent studying the 3 Motion Camaros and other Motion cars of that period that are documented authentic. I wanted to put the car back correctly. I believe if you know these cars you will find this car to be a very excellent Motion Camaro. I seriously believe of the Motion Camaros I have been able to study this one is more perfect and more beautiful than all of them. The car itself was in need of a restoration when it was started but had only 43k miles. There was no rust and many of the Motion parts you see were on the car. The trail of owners to the beginning ends without the Rosen signature to verify its authenticity. I understand that the signature has a price and sets the price over 200k. If you believe it necessary to solidify your investment it is still very possible. The vin says it’s a small block 350 automatic. The car was found with a 1972 402 and an M21 with a 10 bolt posi. The parts were saved that had significance and the car was taken down to the bone and set on a rotisserie. The bottom of the car still retained the red oxide so it was wiped down and then sprayed lightly when possible with undercoating in the correct areas, which was common of that period. The engine was removed and completely rebuilt. The intake is a correct Edelbrock Tarantula. The carb is a NOS 3 barrel 950 CFM Holley also correct for the car. The valve covers, emblems and caps are Ansen Motion parts. The air cleaner is a correct fly eye. All the hoses, and accessories are GM or exact repros. The ignition is not period correct but is an MSD with MSD coil and wires. I didn’t want to fool with the points until it had broken in correctly. I haven’t found the right Phase III unit yet. The fan is a correct NOS Motion green flex fan. Starter, and alternator are new. The fuel pump is a pricey Carter high volume pump. The fuel lines are period correct no flex lines with a MR. Gasket fuel cooler. The radiator is a pricey BeCool radiator that keeps the car at the thermostat temp of 160. The transmission is a fresh M21 with new correct Hurst shifter and linkage. The rest of the drivetrain including the rear axle has new seals bearings, u-joints, etc. Its all new. The drive shaft, brakes, rearend and many pars throughout have the correct factory markings. The rear shocks are NOS GM Delco shocks, The springs front and rear are new. The traction bars are Lakewoods. The gas tank and all lines including venting lines are new. All the brake parts, lines and calipers including all brake hardware, springs, cable, etc are all new. The exhaust includes correct GM 65 Corvette side pipe covers, shorty headers and new piping. It is not quiet. The wheels are American racing Torq Thrust 15”, 15x8 in the rear and 15x7 in the front. They have the correct Motion decals. The tires are fresh Goodyear polyglas GT L60 in the back and G60 in the front. These really set the car of correctly and were not cheap. The glass, chrome and trim are excellent. Some is new and some was reused since they were excellent. The wipers are a completely fresh GM hideaway system. All parts are new here. The interior is mostly all new. Everything was replaced that needed it. The gauges are a completely restored group cosmetically and mechanically with oil pressure, alt, tach etc. It all works perfectly. This also was very expensive to get right. The radio is a NOS AM radio correct for the car with new knobs and front speaker. Seats, dash, headliner, carpet, door panels, etc are all new and mint. Pedals are new. The steering column is a restored unit. The steering wheel is a correct 15” Motion Superior wood wheel. The belts are GM in the back and an improved 3 point system in the front that works excellent. All interior electronics, etc, work as they should. In fact everything works on this car as it should. The paint is base coat clear coat that was sprayed panel by panel and rubbed and polished. It looks outstanding. The lines were meticulously painted and are very correct. The hood is a new correct VBP L88 hood. The hood pins are GM repro 72 Chevelle pins. Outstanding at any distance and ridiculously straight. The car is a beauty and it was built correctly and very expensively. If there is anything not perfectly correct(the ignition, radiator?) that isn’t much to get it perfect. I believe it should sit in a museum next to other super high quality Muscle cars. It has only been driven up and down the street and never titled. Its broken in and now needs its first oil change. If you want the Rosen signature and get it the car should be worth over 200k. If you want a Motion Camaro you need to cough up the 200k or spend more money, headaches and time than I care to count. This is your best chance to have one. I have never seen one that compares to this one for sale less than the going price. Please only serious buyers. Not interested in talking Motion. I don’t want to sell it. Whats the reserve? There isn’t one. What will you take? The most I can get on this open and true auction. So bid what its worth.
