Hudson Terraplane, 1937 Classic, Hot Rod, Rat Rod, Bucket List, Suicide Doors. What we have here is a very complete and original 37 Hudson Terraplane 4 door humpback sedan. It has a 6 cylinder engine and 3 speed floor shifts. I rebuilt the carburetor, put in a new battery, bottle fed it and she started right up. We also bled the brakes but only the rears were working. This allowed me to drive it around the block. It is a great ride and easy steering and felt tight. It has 63,000 miles on it. Does need a tune up for sure. The body is in great shape and only has one ping and surface rust. Very straight, right rear glass is no good and it is missing the plastic hood bullet. The humpback trunk lid was an option and can be changed to a straight back to change the looks. I think the car is so complete that is should be restored. With hydraulic brakes and the big 6, it could be a great cruiser (right lane – no rush recommended) tons of room and has the suicide rear doors which is very cool. Interior is complete, but needs work. What it is: A very rare project Hudson Terraplane with great history and a strong network of club members. What is it not: A perfect care that needs nothing!!!
