You are bidding on a 2010, like-new, fully accessorized for touring R1200RT. I bought this bike new from our local BMW dealer in Sarasota, FL about a year ago and have thoroughly enjoyed every mile of riding, but I have decided that at my age (74), I should slow down a bit, so this great bike is up for auction. The BMW brochure describes this color as "Polar Blue," and it is a striking finish, especially with the color-matched saddlebags. I have had all recommended maintenance items accomplished and have the receipts. The bike needs nothing in terms of touring accessories. You could pick it up here in Florida and start a ride to the West Coast the same day. But be sure to bring your heated clothing! Let me start with the BMW-installed items first. (1) AM/FM/WB radio with handlebar mounted controls, a special cable for iPod/MP-3 devices, and digital channel read out on the bike's information panel, (2) On-board computer for MPG information, Average speed, Temperature, Oil level, etc, (3) Electronic cruise control which operates as smoothly as any luxury car, (4) BMW tank bag which mounts securely with a quick release button -- great for all your valuables since you can easily take it with you into restaurants & gas stations, (5) Topcase for rear luggage rack (holds 28 liters, with lock & key), (6) Heated grips & heated saddle, (7) Color matched saddlebags with soft bag-liner inserts, (8) emergency & extra keys, (9) Complete bike cover from BMW, never used & still in original case, (10) Original sales papers & all maintenance records, (11) Operator manuals for bike and audio system, (12) two 12-v accessory outlets, (13) Rear fender extender with large ceramic BMW logo, (14) Computerized ABS, and (15) BMW's signature feature: Electronic Suspension Adjustment, i.e. on-the-fly adjustment of suspension pre-load and dampening. Moving on to the after market accessories - - all of which were installed mostly in the interest of safety and comfortable long-distance touring. If you are looking for a BMW RT, you are probably into bike touring and know exactly what I'm talking about. Lets start with: (1) Sargent custom saddle (heated) with the BMW tri-color design. This is a BIG comfort improvement over the stock saddle, not to mention its good looks! (2) Cee Bailey windshield, 2" wider, 2" higher. Again, a big comfort and asthetic improvement over the stock windshield with its wierd cutouts. (3) CenTec fuse system -- an absolute necessity for running accessories with the BMW CANbus system, (4) a "Fat Foot" extender for the side stand, (5) Ilium Werks frame mounted, folding highway pegs. You will appreciate this item on those 600+ mile days. Finally, a Garmin ZUMO GPS designed for motorcycle use. It has an October 2011 database and is wired through the CenTec so it is automatically switched on and off through the ignition key. Note, however, that the Garmin only goes with the bike at the Buy-It-Now price. This bike has about 21 months left on the original, factory warranty (which is transferable).
