Vehicle Detail

This Auction is for a 1997 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer edition with a standard title. The title is a New Jersey title matching numbers see picture below of actual title. To start with this truck was involved in an accident years ago and the two doors on the right side were replaced and painted to match. (see pictures below) You can see where some of the paint has faded (see pictures below) I bought this truck to resale and I am selling it with NO RESERVE the highest bidder will win and own this truck. To Start the mileage is accurate and the motor shows it. This truck has only 113,067 miles on it. I bought and drove this truck back from New Jersey. I drove it back on the New Jersey Turn Pike in the rain and it drove, stopped , shifted etc.. The buyer of this truck can drive it across country and I wouldn't see any reason why it wouldn't make it. I've driven this truck over several days covering about 350 miles. In that time I've tried to pay attention to everything about the truck so I can tell you everything I know in order for you to bid accordingly. I really really try to describe everything and sometimes I over describe things so for those of you that are looking for a reliable SUV this one is for you. For those that want to know everything see below for my very detailed description and pictures covering everything below. Here's what I've noticed about the truck. The motor is a 4.6L that starts and runs properly, it idles as it should and at no time did it ever cut off, stall, overheat etc. I've started this truck over 50 times and 1 time it wouldn't start. I took a hammer and tapped the starter and it instantly started right up. Starter might be perfectly fine from that point on or it might do it again. The truck sits high off the ground it took me about 10 seconds to tap it with the hammer and go on my way. No problems since then. The Transmission gear shifter is nice and tight. It shifts into all gears like it should and has not given me any issues. The tip on the end of the gear shifter is missing but serves as cosmetic only. The button to push turning overdrive on/off is still there and works correctly. The automatic transmission shifts through all the gears but sometimes there's more of a hesitation when the transmission shifts from 2nd to 3rd gear. It has always shifted through all the gears but sometimes it takes a second longer before shifting into third. This is the only gear shift that does this and in my opinion if you want to correct it the "shift solenoid" is the problem. The seller said it's never been an issue for her and like I said I've been driving it without any problems so it's up to you if you'd like to fix it. You might not even notice it it's that subtle. The 4x4 works properly and as it should. I've checked it several times and it's always engaged and dis-engaged correctly. The Rear Axle doesn't make any noise until you get up to speeds around 55mph. I can't tell if it's the drive shaft or rear but there's certainly a vibration that you can feel once you accelerate up to 55mph. Doing all the intown running around you never feel anything but once you get up to highway speeds you feel it. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst I'd say it's a 7. You will feel it but it doens't alter the driving of the car and it's not something that makes other people look. It might be something minor I don't know. Like I said I drove the truck for several hours and I don't think this vibration is anything that will cause damage to the truck if left unfixed but it does exist. It's not something so bad that you'll spill your coffee or can't hear someone talking to you in the passenger seat but it does exist. That about covers the drive train. I took the truck to Jiffy Lube and specifically told them to pay attention to all the fluids so I'm happy to report that all fluids were where they were suppose to be and the oil was just changed so the new owner is good for 3000 miles. Lights: The lights are automatic on/off or manual and they work correctly. The turn signals work properly with exception to the fog lights. The bulbs were missing. Interior: The driver door lock/unlock button will only lock the doors it won't unlock them. The passenger rear door doesn't lock or unlock at all. All the automatic window up/down buttons work correctly along with all the other door buttons etc. The Air Conditioner and Heater work properly. It produces cold AC and HOT air. All the tires are new less than 6 months old. The Front Right tire however has significant wear. Its wearing badly and appears to need an alignment. The Rear Bumper is belt some on the right side. You can see in the picture The hood is very faded. The Motor looks like it's brand new! I haven't washed or touched it and when I popped the hood I couldn't believe how clean it was. Some visable damage when the right rear door is open. The above pictures are all the exterior shots. I forgot to mention that the running board on the right side is angled downward some. The brackets are bent a little not the actual running board. It's very strong and doesn't move or flex when I stand on it. (just wanted to mention) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask any questions before bidding. The winner of the auction is the new owner. If you want to see the truck before the auction ends and test drive please do so I will make it available for anyone almost anytime to see it. I am selling this truck as-is where is no warranty of any kind expressed or implied. This truck is being sold and listed as accurately as possible. I have tried to list with as much detail as possible. The winner of the auction must contact me within 2 days and pick up within 7. A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is due within 24 hours after the auction ends. Thanks again for looking. On Nov-23-11 at 05:54:00 PST, seller added the following information: "Dear ebay Users, I'm not sure why but ebay has a huge problem with people taking the time to register on ebay then bidding & winning auctions they have no intentions on buying. If you have NO or NEGATIVE feedback contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid. I'm here to sell and for those here to buy please take note. If someone bids higher than you and their feedback is less than decent don't fret I will cancel it unless I'm notified first and in the event I'm not able to before the end of the auction I will contact you for second chance offer so bid accordingly. If you have no feedback or negative and you bid before contacting my and you happen to win you need to email me literally seconds after the end of the auction with your contact information otherwise I will contact the next highest bidder to buy. I'm sorry it's this way but it takes me too long to list my auctions, get my ebay fees back when someone wins but doesn't pay and another week for the auction to end again, so it's a huge waste of time for everyone but mostly meself. Thanks again and happy bidding."On Nov-25-11 at 12:37:32 PST, seller added the following information:"If you are the winner please contact me as soon as possible. Payment in full within 5 days after the end of the auction, we are buying a new vehicle next weekend and using the proceeds from this auction as payment. Please don't bid if you don't have the money or can't pay in full within 5 days. Thanks and good luck."
