Vehicle Detail
1986 Porsche 944 Turbo 951- Fresh Engine & Turbo 160,104 Miles I bought this car on ebay in 2003 with 154k miles and supposedly all that was wrong with it was a “leaky water pump”. I didn’t know it but evidently that was code for the car had been overheated, cracking one of the ceramic inserts in the head that led to ceramic bits also trashing the turbo. After one year of work and a complete engine & turbo rebuild it is running like a champ. I like to do things right and didn’t hold back here, replacing every part that can wear out and getting the engine back to original factory specs. Additionally I also replaced every part I could find that had been updated by Porsche over the years. I also replaced all the parts that often get lost/thrown away including the battery cover, undercarriage splashguard, alternator air cooling duct, etc. This car is completely stock with the exception of aftermarket engine and turbocharger computer chips (stock chips also included), radio/speakers and keyless entry. When I lived in Ohio the car easily passed emissions (see pic). The A/C has been converted to 134 and still works but after 6 years could use a recharge. This car has been my baby but I just don’t have time to drive it any longer. I only put 6k miles on the engine since the rebuild and the vast majority of those were spent on the highway moving (my job requires me to move every 3 to 4 years. I start it up at least once/month to keep the engine lubricated. The car has always been garage kept while I have owned it. As far as I know the car has never been raced. I have all receipts totaling several thousand dollars (approx. 125 pages), if you are interested and would like to see a specific receipt let me know and I will email the ones you would like to see. Car has A/C, power windows & locks, 80% tread life on the tires. Everything works as it should. Clean & clear title. Car is sold as is. Buyer is responsible for coordinating any necessary shipping and subsequent expenses. If the car is shipped I will accommodate all reasonable shipping coordination on my end. $400 deposit required through Paypal due within two business days of the auction ending, remaining balance accepted through Paypal personal check (once cleared) or cash.
