I know I have never seen a Corvette Convertible this Cheap on Ebay. A project or parts 1986 Corvette Convertible with only 74k original Autocheck clean miles. The automatic transmission slips in 1st and 2nd gear. 3rd, overdrive and reverse work. Please read on about the advantages of this Corvette. The interior was just done with no expense spared! The seats are Leather 2 tone accent stitched at a cost of over $1,200 in the Mid America Corvette Catalog. The 2 tone leather steering wheel is $359. The seats and the center arm rest cushion are embroidered with the Corvete emblem so that was even extra. Carpet kit was $499. That's over $2,000 before you add in the Wood kit (look), sill protectors, and special radio with remote and custom speaker grills. The convertible top is in very nice shape as well. The sun visors are nice and tight and show very well. The wheels on the car are chrome plated C5 replica wheels in decent condition with brand new condition 17 inch tires all of the way around! The front ones are a different brand than the back ones. The brakes stop the car very nice and have no pulsation or chatter. The pads look nice and the calipers are painted red to protect them. The exhaust system has the catalytic converter still installed but the rear mufflers were replaced with a targa exhaust that has a deep sound but not too much. Targa exhaust eliminated the rear mufflers. The motor is nice and strong and the alternator was just done. The injectors appear to be newer. The battery is strong and there is no drain on the system. The digital dash works perfect on this one. This Corvette has the power drivers seat, power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, cruise control, digital dash, power mirrors, wipers, horn, power antenna, A/C and so on. The Air conditioning system works and is converted to the R134 system already. The motor is not overheating on a hot day in traffic with the A/C on high. The coolant system is sealed up nice and the fans do come on when needed as they should. The glass windshield and door glass is in very nice condition. Even the plastic on the convertible top is nice. The weather strips look replaced on the car as well. The body has stress cracks in the front and rear bumpers and marks and chips all over that are filmed. The drivers side headlight mound is broken but both headlight motors work. The bottom spoiler is all bumped and banged up. I believe the car was gold because of chips in the the rear moulding on the rear quarter. If it was changed it was done well and complete meaning any and all areas. The car is a fun driver. I purchased this Corvette and drove the car to my home 10 miles and the transmission went downhill super quick! I was able to make it back to the garage 10 miles but 1st is really slipping now. The fluid is up but dirty. Expect a rebuild but I hope you get lucky!! I am showing and telling the Corvette's story as best as I can with plenty of pictures.
