1972 VW BUS, 4 CYLINDER 4 SPEED, 1600 ENGINE. SOME RUST UNDER THE DRIVERS DOOR , THE UNDERSIDE HAS NO RUST HOLES. THE ENGINE RUNS GOOD AND THE TRANSMISSION AND CLUTCH WORK GOOD, IT DOES LEAK A LITTLE OIL OUT OF THE REAR MAIN SEAL. BRAKES WORK FAIR. THE INTERIOUR NEEDS TO BE REDONE, THERE IS NO BACK SEAT. ODOMETER SHOWS 180,000, I DONT KNOW IF ITS TURNED OVER OR NOT. ALL GLASS IS GOOD ACCEPT FOR THE WINDSHIELD. THE BUS WILL START MOST OF THE TIME AND RUN, ALTHOUGH IT NEEDS A TUNEUP. So this is a 1700cc engine.On Nov-24-11 at 17:56:37 PST, seller added the following information: The shifter linkage is loose and worn at the bottom of the gear shift lever. It is hard to select the gears because of this. It will need to be replaced before a person is able to drive it any distance.
