Vehicle Detail
I have owned this RX-8 for almost 3 years. It runs great and has always been reliable for us. It does have an Arkansas Salvage title. The person I bought it from said it had been considered a total loss by an insurance company because of storm damage I believe in 2007 or 2008. We put it on a lift when I bought it and looked at every suspension piece as well as the front and rear and were not able to see any sign of damage or that it had ever been in an accident. I could see some signs of where paint repairs were done on the top of the vehicle and some of the windows had been replaced so I do believe that information to be correct. The car goes straight down the road, has no pulls or rattles. Its tires have about 15,000 miles on them and have no uneven tire wear. It did need a set of plug wires about a year ago, I had those replaced and also had the ignition coils and plugs replaced at that time as well since they all seemed to be the originals and I thought they would need replacement soon anyways. It also has a new Autozone Gold battery. The tires are Nitto 555s, it also has relatively new brake pads all the way around. I had the pads installed when we put the tires on so they have about 15,000 miles on them as well. The wheels have been powder coated dark gray. The interior is very clean and in good shape. Some signs of wear on the drivers seat but no more than you would expect from a car with about 100,000 miles on it. I would say overall the interior is above average. It has an Alpine iDA-X100 installed which is Alpine's radio made specifically for the ipod/iphone. The Alpine was installed and hooked up so that the factory steering wheel control it. The paint on the car is ok, but has a few dings on it. I have taken photos of most of the dings so that you can see them. The worst part of the paint is a small peeling area on the left rear quarter panel. This is from a repair that was done since I've owned the vehicle. In 2009 the RX8 was backed into at a car wash, I had it repaired, but apparently the paint work on the quarter wasnt done real great as it is peeling a little bit by the rear window. You can see the paint chipped clearly in the photo. Also the right front door and door glass have some small scratches. You can see those in the photo as well. This car is a Grand Touring model so it has BOSE Premium Sound System Heated Leather Seats Power Sunroof Homelink Auto-Dimming mirror Fog Lights I have the title to the vehicle in hand. Winning bidder to pay $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction close and total amount for the vehicle is due within 10 days of auction end.
