Vehicle Detail

Relisted before it goes into winter storage, with lowered reserve. If you are looking for a billet encrusted trailer queen, bristling with aftermarket doodads, look elsewhere. I bought this car in 2001 as a complete and fairly solid car. I built it myself. It is a body-off build. I have used oem parts wherever possible, so that while I'm on the road I can find whatever I need at NAPA or Carquest. It's been on the road since 2007 and has covered about 7,500 miles. The body was soda blasted and all the rust (there wasn't much) removed and replaced with new metal. The final prep and finish work was professionally done in 1987 GMC Woodland green, but I did all the fab work. The chassis features a front crossmember, torsion bars, disc brakes and power steering from a 1983 Dodge Diplomat cop car; all rebuilt, of course. The rear axle came from the same Dodge, and features a 2.97 ratio with lsd. The housing was narrowed slightly and Moser axles installed. Rear suspension is via Stude springs, air bags, and gas shocks. The wheels came from the same cop car. The tires are Coker BFGs in 205/70 x 15. The engine is a 9.5:1 Chev 350 4 bolt, with World sportsman heads, Comp cam, Edelbrock intake and carb, Sanderson headers and Pertronix distributor. The trans is a 700R4 (rebuilt) with a 2200 rpm stall converter. It uses a Gennie shifter. It has a Howe Racing aluminum radiator with a 2700 cfm Spal fan. A/C is by Southern Air, but using a reman. Chev compressor. The interior features a Golden Hawk dash and GT Hawk seats. There is a receiver/CD player hidden behind the radio delete plate. The car is for sale locally, so the auction may end early. Call 989 576 1578 with any questions.
