Having to give up my project Westy. l purchased this Westy from a person in Redlands CA. 5 years ago with the intent to continue rebuilding it. The owner had a extensive list of things he had replaced and a large plastic tote full of parts he'd found. We took it on several trips of around 2300 miles round trip and it ran great. We got in a accident and a vehicle hit up on the back passengers quarter panel, while doing 60 down the freeway, the bus slid til it was back into a 3 foot ditch and flipped to the drivers side. Three points of impact. Remarkable machine! We both just waled out the passengers window with one little cut. So that's the story. l will include pictures but if you need more just let me know. We had, before the accident, go to Gowesty and bought all new components for the Skylight, new LP tank( no gas has ever been it it) and a new trailer hitch. This Westy has a lot of great parts on it. The range and fridge all work fine. l think the fire dept cut the fuel line because when l go and start it every so often with starting fluid it doesn't stay on long. l don't claim to be mechanic so no warranty is offered, but please ask tons of questions and l'll answer them with pictures or ask my mechanic for a better answer. If you would like to come by and inspect l would welcome you to do so. It will need to be removed from location by Nov. 27 as my house closes on Nov 28. If l can get over $2,000 l'll throw in the box.
