Vehicle Detail

– 131xxx miles – 1999 Ford Crown vic v8 1999 ford crown vic police No CEL lights/non smoker/all glass good. Starts, runs, drives. Has police trunk liner for storage. Full sized spare tire. This is original listing when I purchased it from the police dept. 1999 Crown Vic. Was a squad car to the 110,000 mile mark, then used as a community service car. Starts, runs, drives- was in use 6 months ago. Includes striping can be removed with hair dryer and a glue adhesive remover, walmarts goo gone xtreme works really good I picked the car up either late december or early january from the local police department. The local dept striping is still the same they just probably had an extra car or are already dumping their vics since they don't make them anymore. transmission cooler line 12/18/09 have receipt from shop (receipt says interstate battery) I'm keeping this battery, replaced with a battery marked installed 09. Battery works fine but I'm greedy on this one. front bake pads and rotors 12/17/09 same receipt brake master cylinder 12/17/09 same receipt brake paids/rotors installed 12/17/10 same receipt air filter 12/23/09 pvc filter changed 1/22/10 serp belt changed 1/22/10 and idler pulley I replaced spark plugs and 4 coil on plugs, can't remember when I did but the new ones are pretty obvious. New blower motor, pigtails, and replaced the thing it plugs into (can't remember the name of the part) but it was corroded and needed to be replaced. It used to only work on high setting and then died, so the motor was replaced to fix that issue. Now works on all settings.New headlamps, lights work, turn signals work, interior light works. Trunk opens only from interior button in car. Trunk key does not work, don't know why. Replaced the valve that lets the coolant out, prior mechanic must have broke it. I was good with oil changes and flushed the coolant when I installed the block heater. I also did the fuel filter change before last winter and this winter, did this one I'd say a month ago or so. Same thing with pvc valve (2 doll part). Cleaned the maf sensor too a month ago or so. Car blows cold, I recharged it before summer. Also, blows hot. Car includes full tank of gas, I'll also give a transmission filter + 4 or so transmission fluid containers, and a heynes manual if I can find it. I was going to do the flush on this one but after experiencing the first transmission shower on my other vic, I decided not ever, ever doing a transmission flush again. In the spirit of disclosuresRust – I tired spray painting the back right, looked very classy :)... You can buy fender trim if it bothers you but rust is what it is and isn't worth the fight. If you really want to buy a fender all the power to you. The starter grinds only on cold starts (like 40 degress or colder). You will not notice this in summer/spring or if engine is warm but if you do crank it in a cold winter you are hitting the fly wheel. The block heater installed 2 years ago appears to lessen the issue but.... the bad news is I tried to swap the starter and stripped the PIA to remove bolt on the starter. I made an attempt to cut the starter off with a dremel (no comment) but gave up after realizing it would mean cutting for a few hours plus lots of diskettes...It's really up to you how you want to roll with this issue. Brakes are now squeaking, looked at the pads and they meat on them not sure which brake is squeaking. It happens at fast speeds like 40 to 20ish and doesn't squeak in the 20 or lower range. The cup holder was detached, left in back seat, I'm too lazy to reattach it. I wanted to fix the cig lighter for a gps unit but lost interest halfway into project couldn't understand wiring. You get the idea,, I throw in the towel when the fight isn't worth it. No giant tears or anything but could be cleaned. Interior cloth, probably fair condition. I just tested the block heater and it worked but forgot I left block heater attached and snapped the cord. I bought and will replace the block heater cord. I'll load images tomorrow. There is 1 of the 2 bulbs inside the dash is burned out. Don't know how to fix this one but should be pretty straight forward. I'm parting with this car because it is getting a little too rusty for my liking. It was good for a work car but just got a promotion and it's time to class it up. As with any car, this car is as is, no warranties expressed or implied. I'm not a mechanic. All bidders are strongly encouraged to physically inspect the vehicle. Please contact me to arrange inspection, late friday or sat-sunday preferably. Email is justinbell AT hotmail DOT com. Cash ONLY at my LOCAL BANK only for pickup. Title is clear.
