This auction is for a 1951 Dodge truck titled as 5000 GVW. The original VIN tag has the GVW at 8000 pounds. It has a 6 cyl. flat head engine, 3 speed transmission with shifter on the steering column, duel rear wheels and the original 6 volt system. Mileage is approximate. The engine runs and has a relatively new carburetor. The fuel line from the tank to the pump is not connected currently. The brakes need work, I believe it's the master cylinder since you can pump the pedal and get some braking. You can see on the photo of the frame where the frame was extended about 14", years ago. The work looks strong and has been in use for many years. There is an extra front axle with steering and brake drums. This is a good project that you can take as far as you want. Fix it and drive, or do a complete restore. I cannot ship the truck, so local pickup is the best unless you arrange shipping.
