This auction is for a 64 fairlane Thunderbolt tribute car that has been completely restored. The car originally was purchased in California in 1964 then moved to Texas where it lived for many years. It was then sold to the second owner when the person that bought the car passed away. I am the third owner of this car !! I have all the original paperwork, window sticker, manual, registrations, purchase agreement,etc. The reason I share this information is to show what a fantastic car this was to start with before the rebuild began.It has been a 6 year project and i can tell you that every single piece of this car inside and out has been replaced,refurbished, rebuilt, or upgraded.The pictures alone will show the high degree of which this car has been taken but i will list some of the major features..The engine ( 351 cu. in. ) was totally rebuilt by Shriber automotive. This is a local shop that builds many high-end motors and no expense was spared. I have the documentation of the work done. It has a holley carb, electronic ignition ( no points ) , factory cast iron headers, custom dual exhaust,moderate cam, runs on 89 octane fuel. It has break- in miles and all the the little adjustments are made and it runs strong with no hesitations. The transmission totall rebuild with new bands and seals and slap shifter installed. The rear diff. has 3.70 gears and an auburn positraction. All new brakes and lines and upgraded dual master for safety. All new fuel lines and electric fuel pump installed. New Goodyear eagle tires and weld wheels The interior has new carpet, door panels, seat covers, dashpad,headliner,and all painted parts repainted to factory O.E.M. color...Exterior of car features a complete repaint to the original Wimbledon white factory color. All mouldings/ grill polished and door handles/ mirrors are new. The UNDERSIDE of the car is clean as a new car and was stripped to bare and then epoxy primed and painted semigloss black.Traction bars and new shocks all around. The hood is Crites fiberglass as is the front bumper. I have kept extensive records of the total amount invested in this car and can honestly tell you that the starting bid is no where near what this car cost to restore or what one would spend to replicate another car to this level..Anyone that has done a TRUE total restoration knows the amount of work/ cost involved and can see that here.
