Vehicle Detail

Here is a rare and outstanding opportunity for a 1932 Ford 3 Window Coupe that's 95% complete, with top of the line parts used and with a reserve that allows a huge return on investment upon completion, or an outstanding price on a top notch, keeper show car. BODY: The body is a "Bad Ass" shell that has had extensive blocking and fit and finish work to bring to the level of "Show quality". At least 200 hours were spent blocking and finish preppping the car to ensure all of the gaps were consistant, all of the molding was detailed crisp and finish blocked to ensure a razor straight show finish. "Bad Ass" bodies have good qualities and bad like any other body manufacturer. Their strong points are solid construction and inner framing and their weak points are fit and finish and door/trunk gap levelness. At least 200 hours were spent ensuring all of the door and trunk gaps are show quality, and the body molding was entirely resurfaced to ensure the crisp lines that are typical of an original steel car. An original 1932 Ford Cowl vent was installed, as well as an original 1932 Ford kickout windshield and bracketry. These are details rarely seen on anything other than Henry Ford or Brookville Roadsters Steel bodies. After the extensive rework, this body would hold up in comparison to anything other than an excellant original, or a $20,000 Brookeville body. The car was finish painted in SEM Hotrod Black. I was originally intending on putting Candy Apple flames on the car and am also include a quart of 3 stage Candy Apple Red paint to do so if desired. ($400). The Satin Black was applied in my garage, and to do justice to the bodywork, should require a scuffing and final top coat for a perfect show finish. While good driver quality, A couple light spots and a few dirt spots are evident. ENGINE/TRANS: A mild, fresh rebuilt Chevrolet 350 and 700R4 trans are included. The Block and trans are painted candy Apple Red and extensive Chrome work was applied to the entire engine area. The Candy Red paint of the engine and all of the Chrome Bouncing off a polished, machine turned Stainless Firewall is dynamic to say the least!!! I was planning on Chrome braided plug wires and fuel/vacuum lines so the only thing that isn't Candy Apple or Chrome is the One Drive Belt. The photos speak for themselves and the cost incurred is evident! The following items are Chrome or Polished. Chrome Edlebrock Carburator (Brand new $550) Chrome Intake Chrome Water Pump Chrome Pullies Chrome Fuel Filter Chrome Starter Chrome Alternator Chrome Inspection Cover Chrome Radiator Hoses Polished Zoomie Exhaust Chrome Radiator fan Chrome Coil Polished Breathers Polished Stainless MSD Distributor High End Polished Aluminum Valve Covers Polished machine Turned Stainless firewall ($400) INTERIOR: A Custom, low profile bench Seat was made from scratch with a welded frame and vintage pleated apholstery ($800) I'm 6'-2" and there is plenty of head and leg room which is uncommon on Duece Coupes. This bench seat was custom made for comfort in mind. The Dash has a polished machine turned backing ($400) and a complete set of six matching, vintage Autometer Guages. Also installed is an NOS 1941 Oldsmobile wind up dash Clock. The shifter is a tall Swan Shifter and a high End Wolf and Top hat Shifter. There is a molded fiberglass headliner and backing area behind the seat for ease in apholstery. Vinyl can be gluded on these so that all that's needed is door and kick panels. I have an excellant source for interiors that can be shipped after providing templates of door/kick and trunk panels. This and carpet can be completed for $600-$800 plus shipping. This is the same supplier that produced the custom seat. CHASSIS: A standard TCI frame mated to a Ford 9" rear end in a 3:1 highway gear ratio is installed. Coil Overs in the rear and a complete Chrome Super Bell 4" dropped axel, hair pins and steering linkage front end. All high end components. Ford 16" Steel Wheels and Coker Bias Ply tires set off that awesome stance with a Monster 5" Whitewall in the rear. Four Wheel Disk King Brakes all the way around. EXTRA PARTS INCLUDED: Fiberglass headliner/Window trim/Area behind seat Chrome Steering Column 16" Banjo Wheel and V8 Horn Button Chrome Alternator/Starter Chrome Radiator Overflow tank Chrome Brakke Booster and Break Pedal Transmission Cooler Polished Column drop and lower bracket All senders for all guages Insullation Stock Style Window Cranks with one touch switches and stantions Chrome Door Handles, inner and outer with Stantions. Trunk handle Battery Box Dimmer Switch Complete Wiring Harness Chrome carpet Sills NEEDED: Drive Shaft $200 Break and fuel Lines $100 Plugs and Plug wires $50 Gas pedal and linkage $50 Tail Lights $50 Interior panels and carpet $600-$800 Glass (I have templates) $200 Final paint top Coat and Flames if desired $0-$1000) $1450 - $2450 to complete The car is not registered but I have all reciepts and in all states would be an easy register and qualify for collector plates and no taxes depending on State. SUMMARY: The bottom line is this....... This is a rare opportunity to get into a 95% complete project that is built and stanced right, like an early 60's Hotrod using all high end components with an extremely high end Show car the end result. I have $25K to $30K in parts alone not counting 100's of hours in labor. If you can get this car at my reserve price, you will be able to finish it for roughly $20K or less. Let's not kid each other, with the right paint and flame job this Duece will bring $30K to $35K in the Spring. A 50% plus return on your investment with an easy winter project. If you Know Street Rods, you Know this is an outstanding opportunity on a Killer Duece Coupe with outstanding profit potential! My Loss is your gain so bid to Win and Good Luck!On Nov-11-11 at 08:11:10 PST, seller added the following information: I was asked about the Zoomie Headers. These are new Sanderson Zoomies ($755) and include baffles. On Nov-14-11 at 23:41:04 PST, seller added the following information: I've had a few inquiries about the wiring harness. It's an "EZ" brand wiring harness which is extremely easy to wire. Each wire is seperately labeled all the way down the wire as to its attaching location. (Left brake light) etc. so no need to label wires or study wiring harnesses and color codes. It seems some people just hate electric wiring with a passion, It wouldn't be a problem for me to pre-wire the car prior to delivery to eliminate the headache if your not comfortable with wiring Also, all complete sending units are included for all of the guages. Thanks
