Vehicle Detail

1988 dodge daytona with a 2.5 litre block 2.0 twin cam head off a stratus. Car runs and drives but will need some work. The car has been sitting for around 4 months since completion of work listed below and I dont even know if it will start since i havent tried since I made the last video to show how its running now. I took the car to a local performance shop and spent 2600 dollars on New head gasket ARP Headbolts Timing Belt Resurfaced exhaust manifold Cam seals Battery New oil pan and steel braided oil lines Water pump temp sensor They got the car running but couldnt figure out the timing and the car is running strong but at about 200hp when it was at 400 roughly three years ago. I have no more money to invest in the car at this point and for me has become a lost cause. This car has a fully built motor with over 6500 invested. The motor and trans have under 10,000 miles on them since the car was built. This is not the motor that came factory and it is extremely difficult to find anyone who knows about this particular setup. The car comes with 2 chips with the original tune (21 psi 400 hp 450 lbs tourqe) and the one installed (15psi 190hp 225 tourqe). I dont know what the optimal timing is and the shop I took it too had never seen anything like it and wanted me to put injectors and other things it never needed before to run what it ran.so at this point Id like to cover the last money spent and get my 2600 back. You can attempt to get this car where it was if you like but as far as I care you can crush it, destruction derby it or part it out. Car has a built 16v hybrid swap a Holset HY35W turbo, BIG intercooler, 15psi, A555 trans, McLeod RevLok II clutch disc, SPEC dual diaphragm pressure plate, Toyo TR1's below are 2 vids the first was how it ran 3 years ago before the head gasket was presumed to be going bad it never actually blew it just began to run hot and before it could get in the red the car was parked indoors. 2 years later here I am after buying it from my buddy, i got it somewhat fixed just cant figure out the tune and have run out of money and just want to get what I spent in parts and labor thus far. I do not expect anything more. The paint looks decent and the cars pretty clean inside and out but it could use and wash and a vacuming as its been sitting a while. It doesnt have any of the rust that you see in most of these cars on the floor pans and other select areas. 4 months ago this car was 100 percent rust fee aside from surface rust from weather absolutely zero rot!! I am going to bring the car home from the shop this week and will start it and get some more pictures of the underbelly and some other motor photos and interior if requested. This car has no back seat as shown in the vids. Battery is located behind passenger seat. This is a two seater not a family wagon and is a project car, or a parts car for your existing project. It has powersteering but the pump leaks so I pulled the belt and drained the resevoir so it wouldnt run dry on the dyno (was more worried about leaking fluid on the dyno) the belt will come with the car. The exhaust sounds like it may have a small leak and the exhaust is custom and dumps under driverside door before rear tire. Has some gauges, boost air fuel. Radio doesnt work for some reason, not sure that it did. Speedometer was switched from kilometers to mph and is exempt for mileage on the title. It actually shows way more miles than the car has on it. speedometer works but when flooring it all gauges drop to zero (never bothered to fix it, it started about 500 miles ago.) so thats about it. I would suggest picking it up with a trailor as I havent driven it more than a mile since repairs and cant attest to reliability, drive it home at your own risk. Car has been out of inspection and still currently is as the registration expired in 09 and wont be renewed as Im trying to sell it and this would be a waste and a long wait on getting the title back. Hopefully Ive done an accurate job of describing the condition of the car. Its not perfect, runs but will need work if you want it to be a race car again. VIDEO OF THE CAR BEFORE AND AFTER (THEN AND NOW) How it ran http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwRirxietws How it runs now (as of 4 months ago and how it will run when u get it) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQlqRfvXyck HAPPY BIDDING
