Vehicle Detail
I bought this bike five years ago as a spare in case my other Honda (a '75 CL360) ever quit on me, and because the 1970 CB350 was THE BIKE I wanted when it was new. But even after the twenty-something thousand miles I've put on the 360 it has proven so reliable that I am willing to let this one go now. The Good and Bad: All the gears on this bike work smoothly. All the electrics work as they should. The cables are all good. The air filters are new. The tires were new when I bought it, and I've only put about 60 test miles on the bike myself. The fenders are undamaged and still look good. The gas tank has been lined. The tank emblems are complete and original. The chain looks to be in good condition. The seat has a small seam opening under the strap. The right side muffler has some small holes but I have two complete spares -left and right, and spare front pipes as well. The carbs need a rebuild. The bike came with new kits which I have partly installed, and I have some spare used carbs to throw in. The bike starts and runs strong through all the gears at low to med. RPM, but looses power at higher speeds, and then idles high when warm, most likely due to clogged high-speed jets. What's in the carb kits should take care of that but I haven't the time or ambition to persue it so I'll leave that up to the new owner. There is also a new spare set of points and condenser. I chipped the oil filter cover removing it and have since replaced it but got the wrong part that uses a paper gasket. They are apparently not interchangeable - this one needs the one with the rubber O-Ring. I still have the original one which still works for now but leaks a little oil when running and will need to be replaced. There are several available on ebay as of this listing. I aquired what other parts it needed when I bought it such as the footpeg rubbers, air cleaner through-bolt, and new battery strap. I have been using the battery from the 360 to test this bike as it came without one, and I've not wanted to juice up a new one just to have it sit around. I can provide a brand new battery still sealed and dry which you can get electrolite for and charge whenever you want. The right fork seal has leaked since I've had it. This is also an easy fix. The odometer reads 8850.2. As far as I know this is original mileage. There is no title. Your state may be different but CT does not require a title on a vehicle over ten years old. I can provide a bill of sale. Overall this is a very clean, low mileage classic which should need a minimal work to make it a long term reliable rider. As I have several other bikes and something needs to go I am selling with no reserve at a starting price far below what I have into it. Selling As-Is. Buyer is responsible for pick up, or arranging for, and cost of shipping. I'll accept paypal, or cash in person, but a $200.00 non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of auction close, and full payment within one week. I can store the bike for a few weeks but expect it to be picked up in a timely manner. Please ask any questions. I'll answer them to the best of my ability.
