Vehicle Detail
For auction is a 1987 Camaro Z28 Iroc with a 305 and 4speed automatic. Almost everything is in original shape but will require restoring or fixing up. The odometer shows 62,707, but I'm sure it's turned over once. The car runs and drives. I have driven it a total of about 5 miles, so I will tell you what I can about it's drivability. The trans takes a second longer than I think it should to shift from 1st to 2nd, but everthing else on the trans seems to work fine. It may have a shift kit that's causing that, but I really don't know. The engine starts right up and seems to run fine and has decent power. Everything is still on the engine (including smog equipment, except for the belt for the smog pump which was removed and put in the trunk). It rides fine but sounds creeky (it may need bushings somewhere underneath). It does leak a bit of oil but I haven't been able to see if the car smokes. Interior will need some work (new seat covers, carpet and dash cover) but it is pretty complete for a car this old. The hood struts don't work, but I just installed new ones for the rear hatch. Has most or all of original spare tire kit, trunk cover, and t-tops bag. Body is in fair and very retorable shape, but there is rust on the front fenders and a dent in the driver's quarter (see picture). It needs paint, but it shouldn't take much to get it prepped. It has one broken hood louver. Tires have more than half-tread but are showing some cracking. Driver door needs a hinge rebuild. Rear spoiler middle section is incorrect for the year, but the two side pieces are correct. Front spoiler in good shape. As for the rest of the car, I've only owned it a few weeks so I don't know the history or the rest of the bugs in the car. It is an older car, so don't expect perfection. It will make a great restoration, though. Email me with any other questions. A down payment of $500.00 through PayPal is due in 48 hours and payment in full within 3 days or the car will be relisted. I will only take cash or cashier's check. Loading and shipping is entirely up to you and the car must be picked up within 2 weeks. I cannot hold it at that location longer than that. Thanks!
