Vehicle Detail
1988 Saab 900 SPG Turbo in good condition. I’ve owned the car for the past 15 plus years. Overall the car is in pretty good shape; however, it is a used car. As far as I know, she is a California car and there is no sign of any type of rust anywhere on the car i.e., body panels, door jams, bottom of the doors, etc. She is an SPG with approximately 185K on the odometer. She runs strong and the transmission shifts great. She doesn’t smoke and has never failed a smog test. The reason I’m selling her is that I currently own 8 cars and am forced to make a decision on getting rid of at least 2 of the eight. I’ve truly enjoyed the Saab experience and really hate to see her go but I need the space. I’ve also done some performance, interior and exterior upgrades as outlined below. I would really like to see her go to someone who really has an appreciation for these cars as I do. Listed below are a few details about the car and what I’ve done since I’ve owned it. Please feel free to contact me with questions. I will try to answer them as best I can. Interior: Is in good condition with the exception of the driver seat. The interior is the typical gray leather that is typical of these cars. There are signs of wear and the seat needs to be reupholstered. The dashboard was replaced about 6 years ago; however, there are 3 small hairline cracks starting to develop. The rest of the interior is in pretty decent shape for a car that is 23 years old. The carpet is original and could use a good cleaning. There are no tears or rips of any kind. The interior light housing was missing when I bought the car; however, I have found a replacement but have not installed it. All interior components operate as they should; lights, gauges, turn signals, heater, CD Player, windshield wipers, emergency flashers, lighter etc. Interior Upgrades: Boost Gauge Knock Sensor LED Pioneer CD Player 12” JL Audio Speakers and Sub Box Kicker 6X9 rear speakers New front dash speakers and tweeters Memphis 4 channel amp Hi Phonic 2 channel sub amp Sony 6 Disk CD Changer Engine: The engine runs strong. I had the head rebuilt about 6 years ago as the result of a blown head gasket. I also had the AC Compressor and condenser replaced as well; however, the AC isn’t working and I believe it’s due to lack of Freon, but am not 100% sure. I recently had the water pump replaced as well. Here is a list of things that I have replaced recently or upgraded: List of upgrades: 3 bar FPR Red APC Box 30lb Fuel Injectors New Fuel Chip for ECU Front Mounted inner-cooler and associated piping – includes BOV New Bosch Spark Plugs, rotor, distributor cap and Bougicord wires. Water pump Alternator Exterior: The exterior of the car is in decent shape; however, there are several issues that I should mention. First off the body of the car is black with sort of grayish SPG kit. The front bumper needs to be replaced or repaired. It has a small damaged area on the left side. It was this way when I bought the car. I used a bra to cover the damaged area so it was never a concern. The paint is okay; however, there are signs of the normal chips and dings associated with a daily driver. List of Upgrades Rear Louvers Side Vent Covers Front Fog Lights Dynamax Catback Exhaust System New 16” Wheels and Tires – 205/50/16 Goodyear Radials in good condition ***VEHICLE IS ALSO LISTED LOCALLY, SO I RESERVE THE RIGH TO CANCEL THIS AUCTION SHOULD IT SELL PRIOR TO THE END OF THE AUCTION. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Please contact me via email for any additional information or questions you may have regarding the Saab.
