Thanks for looking… I purchased this restored 230SL and another classic BMW at the same time back in July, only intending to keep one of these cars. I wanted to experience the legendary SL and see which would be a better long-term investment for me personally. I have two other classic BMWs and although the SL is an engineering marvel built to last, I prefer the Beemers overall, thus I am selling the 230SL. I’ve put less than 150 miles on the car and have not transferred title in my name as yet. The title is clear from the previous owner. This car was owned previously for a 10-year period by a local lawyer and is a solid #2 car. She received scheduled annual maintenance from the same shop for the same term, and I’ve most of the receipts. There is nothing wrong with this vehicle, and if you need a reference, I’ll provide the phone of the German maintenance shop. The up close paint and body are excellent. The car was covered and kept in a climate controlled garage, and only driven for pleasure (cover included). My starting bid is exactly what I paid for this car (less expense’s) right here on eBay in July 2011, which I’d be happy to receive for her. I did replace the battery; however everything works on the car including the original radio and electric antenna. My eBay rating above is solid, and I want to keep it that way.
