This is a great car. Owned in same family for almost 20 years. Conveyed from the owners that this is true '69 camaro convertible Z11 pace car. Body is in great shape considering its age. No major rust at all. Great driver AS is. Couldn't ask for a better start for a full frame off, rotisserie restoration candidate. 49895 original miles......Drive train said to be numbers matching. Existing paint showing wear.....Interior is a 9 out of 10. Under canopy is great......Come look at this Classic that will only go UP !!!!! It is a 100% CONFIRMED PACE CAR This is an early production Indy Pace car convertible. Data plate decodes as follows: Build Date 03D = March, last week 1969. Because this car is an early produced Indy pace car, it could of been one of the 50 cars used at the INDY 500 in May of 1969 at the track for transporting of dignataries and clebrities. 720 = Interior Color Orange Houndstooth, 50 = Dover white, A = White convertible top. The LA cars were not stamped with Z11 on the tag, but the colors codes on the tag confirm that it is a pace car since no other Camaro convertible received houndstooth interior. The pace cars were all built between 02D (4th week of February) and 05A (1st week of May). All pace cars are RS/SS convertibles and will have 50-A paint and 720 interior noted on the cowl tag; they were the only Camaros built in this color combination.
