The car certainly looks and drives like a 45,000 original mile car! The previous owner believes that the mileage as stated on the odometer is correct and I have this in writing! This is a stunning car THAT HAD A PREVIOUS FRAME-OFF RESTORATION AND STILL LOOKS AMAZING TODAY! I will describe its condition – I am a car guy so I know what to look for. MECHANICS The car drives like a dream! The 3 speed standard gearbox operates in all gears smoothly and I was quite surprised that the car can keep up with modern traffic! It starts on a dime – from the first time! The 6-cylinder motor purrs and has lots of power and there is absolutely NO SMOKE at start up or thereafter. The brakes are in perfect functioning order. Exhaust system – brand new! Brand new 6-VOLT Battery! All factory gauges are in perfect working order including the fuel gauge, horn, etc. Incredible! Mechanically it needs NOTHING – turn the key and enjoy the drive as every component, nut, bolt and washer is either new or completely rebuilt! BODY & FRAME There is absolutely NO rust on the car anywhere! The car is 100% metal – no filler that I can see. The blue paint is in good condition but obviously not perfect. It is good driver quality paint NOT SHOW CAR QUALITY! There are a few chips that were touched up and a minor dent in the back fender. The factory frame is like new – no rust anywhere! INTERIOR The interior is brand new inside and out. No tears or stains - the complete interior including the carpets looks brand new! The headliner and the front sun visors are also new! TIRES Brand new LESTER WHITEWALL tires – they really look stunning on the car. CHROME The front and rear bumpers are ORIGINAL Desoto and are like new! The door handles have pits on them and have to be re-chromed to be perfect. SPARE PARTS I have many boxes of new and used spare parts and these are all included in the auction.
