Vehicle Detail

73 green Scout II Ragtop For your consideration. I am selling my scout II due to excess of toys and marital changes. I bought this '73 from a guy in California after selling the '74 I restored and missing it. The guy sent me the title but signed it in the wrong place. When asked to get a new title and send me the corrected one, I never heard from him again. I have a form that I got from the PA state police to get the title, but I decided to sell it and see if the new owners state has an easier process then PA. That being said, I will describe the vehicle to the best of my ability considering the little I know about it. I bought it Jan of 09. The body had a new forest green paint job and is a good job in my opinion. There is no rust issues that I've seen or have been told of when I had it on the rack for inspection. It has over sized tires with tread, and nice mags. The truck looks awesome, and when I drove it people would always stop me. One guy chased me down just to talk to me about it. It has a 2.5 or 3 inch lift. The bed is Rhino lined and has aftermarket bucket seats. There is no back seat... another thing the guy was supposed to send when he returned the title. I did some things to it while I was under the impression I was getting a title that was limited to general tune up things, like plugs, plug wires, etc. It sat a year before I bought it so it took a little to get it running at first attempt. I put an automatic choke on it, and a front frame stabilizer that helps with sway, etc. I do not have an air filter housing for it as the one i bought on ebay was for the wrong year and didn't fit under the hood. I'll include that and you can sell and buy the one you need. It has a full roll cage and the top is in pretty good condition with no tears or holes I can remember. It has a new wooden steering wheel, and I have some nice international shift knobs. Now it's been sitting since last year and when I went to take the pictures I made sure it started and would idle. I did not drive it that day do to time constrictions, so know it's going to have to run a little bit to get back to its dependable condition. This will be sold with a bill of sale only. NO TITLE. I could provide the guys name who sold it to me, but I don't think it'll help. SO.. Its a great looking truck with little or no body work needed. You'll need to deal with the title and get it tuned up better or again, and then you'll have one of the cooler examples of a 73 scout II. I wish I was more mechanical or had more time and money to have this in my arsenal, but alas... I'm going to have to be a 1 truck guy and stick with my jeep. Please write with any questions and I will try to assist you. From what I'm told the title was clear... it's just I never got it. It is really cool looking and will make a great truck for the new owner. Low reserve at less then 1/2 of what I paid. I can assist with transport as I've had a few trucks shipped. I can at least give you my input. Best of luck and happy bidding Dr Bob Reading PA
