The Lotus carries new fiberglass/windscreen on an AM 179 chassis. The chassis is in excellent shape – shows no evidence of prior damage, repair or realignment. The transaxle is a Hewland which was blueprinted by Taylor two years ago – with no time on it since rebuild. The engine block carries the “681F “ casting number. It has only "tune up" time since recent rebuild - a .030 bore, new Hepolite pistons/rings, new Ford Racing cam, new valve guides,seals and grind, new oil and water pump and .010 crank grind and balance. The engine is currently wet sump with no oil leaks. Oil pan, oil pump, reservoirs, etc. for dry sump configuration are included. The brake lines and seals, heavy duty doughnuts,U-joints, and “Wizzard” radiator are all new. The shocks and springs are original as is the aluminum fuel tank. The current rear tires are 16 inch, but a full set of 13 inch wheels/slicks are included along with some additional spares. The car currently runs, drives, stops, etc. but needs several updates and a full “sorting out”. I have some history for the car which was logged in the NEOHIO region in 1972. But, nothing is really known of its racing history from 1972 to 1985 when it went into “storage”until I purchased it a couple years ago. My intention was to run it in club events so I was not concerned with bringing it to full compliance with SCCA or Formula Ford requirements. But, frankly, as I got it together and "tried it out" it became clear that it was just too fast and too much car for me to handle at my age - so I'm putting it up for sale.I'll be glad to respond to questions.
