1959 EDSEL CORSAIR CONVERTIBLE Here is a very cool and solid 1959 Edsel Corsair Convertible and 1 of only 1343 every produced. The car has its original 332 CI motor and automatic transmission. The car runs strong and shifts great. Brakes work perfect! Mechanically this car is has been lovingly maintained and in that past few years has had new wiper motor, water pump, radiator/heater hoses, themostat, power steering pump, aux electric fan (great for slow parades), Manual choke, all new brake lines, brake cylinders, master cylinder (dual), heater core, insulate fire wall, new low beams and new battery (does drip some oil when sitting). I would consider driving it ANYWHERE with confidence! The paint is about 10 years old and still looks great. It does have a few chips and inperfections. Floors, frame and trunk area are all in great shape. Both Bumpers have been rechromed and look great! Seats and carpet have been replaced a few years back and look great! After market seat belts have been installed in the front and I do have matching for the read (not installed). Door panels are original and are still presentable but not perfect. Dash pad has been repainted and looks good. The following parts have also been replaced over the past few years: left fender mouldings, exhaust tips, top boot, NOS rearview mirrors, front kick panels, windlace, glovebox with light, winsheild seal, 1/4 glass seals, deck lid seals, new antenna, air ducts and new door seals. Everything works including the horn, wipers, lights, radio, turn signals and heater. The passenger window does have a crack in the glass (it has been this way for 10 years and is fine as is and functions fine). Top is newer and is in good shape. I have been using this as a manual top since I got the car (I prefer it that way as it is much faster to get up and down). The power top motor needs replacing. Convertible top boot is newer and in very good shape. Tires have plenty of tread left. I also have the original owners manual, copy of original window stick, and an extra set of NOS Edsel keys for this car! Car really is a blast to drive! Here is a chance to own a classic Edsel convertible at a reasonable price. This car gets attention whenever I leave the driveway.
