Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1995 Mazda Miata, which has been sitting in my garage for almost 4 years collecting dust. I was building a "Monster Miata" but the last time I turned a wrench on it was right before our daughter was born. I have finally come to realize I just do not have enough time to work on it and need to sell it. My garage is climate controlled so the car and everything with it are just as they were 4 years ago. This auction includes many brand new parts along with some used ones, I will try to show pictures of as much as I can for you. Auction Includes: Car and everything installed on it. 5.0 Mustang GT V8 Set of 18 Chrome Wheels with tires Set of original Miata wheels with tires V8 Conversion Manual 4 Wheel Dollies (1000lb) each.(wider than standard) 2 brand new 5 point harnesses brand new set of adjustable lowering springs brand new Momo steering wheel with quick connect coupling (paid over 200.00) brand new stainless steel roll bar 2 brand new Autometer gauges Lots of miscellaneous stuff Trunk is full of Miata parts Dash is made of 100% Real Carbon Fiber! There are 2 rolls of immitation carbon fiber laminants included in auction, I had purchased these and was not happy with the way it looked so purchaced the real deal. Car has complete suspension, steering, and braking system, no transmission, radiator, air bags or original dash components. V8 Engine was pulled from a wrecked Mustang GT 5.0 that ran very well. (I knew the car it came out of, not purchased from salvage yard) Engine stand is not included in auction. The car is 99% rust free other than a very small spot in front of the rear passenger side tire, the windshield has 2 cracks in it, and there is a dent in the front pass side fender and a crack in the front bumper directly below that. (see pictures). I am aware the VIN brings back an accident report in 99 however I have seen no signs of any previous damage, I have been in the busniess for over 16 years and would be able to identify this, it must have been a very insignificant claim and repaired well. Car will have original Miata wheels on it when picked up as I have sold the adapter plates for the 18” rims already. The 18” rims are used and show normal signs of age 2 of the tires need to be replaced. This is a project car and does not run. You will need to tow or trailer the car when picking up. I purchased this car in 2007, it was complete but had a blown motor, I have not registered this car and do not have a title for it but have all receipts and bill of sale from the company I bought it from which you will receive. The car is located in Louisville KY. 40223, not far from the expressway. I can help load but make sure and bring help as I have a bad back and cannot lift very heavy items like the engine. Bid with confidence, I have 100% feedback because I disclose everything good and bad about the items I sell. I include pictures and video to give the best representation of what you are buying, no surprises. The last vehicle I sold was a Corvette sold sight unseen. He flew in and drove it home, he told me he really appreciated how much information was in my auction and so I have tried to do the same again this time. If you have any questions message me and I will try to answer as soon as possible. Here are some video links of the car http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYvPsexRkTs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrrCF-7MIqc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dy1ilP9pZLgOn Oct-28-11 at 18:58:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok, I have been getting a lot of the same questions, if you look at the very bottom of the auction some of the answers are posted there. Some of the other questions I will try to answer now. The V8 manual is for doing the conversion with the 5.0 ford motor, however much of the processes will be the same regardless of how you want to build it. The cars fuel tank, fuel pump, battery, tail lights, turn signals, brakes, steering system, suspension, rear end, axles, drive shaft, ect are all there with the exception of the Miata motor, trans, and dash. The original head light motors work with no problems, the cars top is missing the clear plastic window that zips in the back, the top closes solid its not bent and latches well, all weather stripping is in good shape. The car is very clean but does have some small scratches and small dings here and there but they are very minor. I tried to post as good of pictures as I could to accurately represent the condition, whoever wins should be pleased as it is in very good shape. Again there are two cracks in the windshield, two of the tires on the 18” wheels need to be replaced, the chrome rims are in fair condition, there is a small spot in the corner in front of the rear wheel on the pass side that has some rust, actually the drivers side has a little bit there to, it is just the very bottom of the corners. The original Miata wheels and tires are if very good shape. The decal in the photo is a bowl of rice with a cross thru it “no rice”. Yes the 5.0 badge is included, yes the harnesses, roll bar, steering wheel, coil overs, and everything else listed as new have never been used and are in perfect mint condition. The spoiler is brand new as well. The hood release has been removed and latches with the use of the hood pins seen in the pictures. The brakes, doors, windows, trunk release, fuel door release, top ect all work fine. Again, the red engine stand is not included. On Oct-31-11 at 06:50:10 PDT, seller added the following information: After talking with the last bidder on the phone we decided to cancel his bid because there is more work than he anticipated involved in building this car. Please do not bid on this item unless you understand what it is you are buying, it is not a running car that can be driven with out work. I would have thought that would be clear from the auctions details and pictures. I will be happy to speak with any bidders on the phone if you like just message me your name and number and I will call you ASAP. Thanks. Josh
