1971 Triumph Bonneville

1971 Tiger with 73 Bonneville T140 engine mild custom. Sludge trap cleaned 40 over pistons new rings bearings where needed has only had a few hundred miles put on since work was done as i have multiple bikes. Simplified wireing under seat,new pipes,tail lamp,paint and new after market pvc side covers to give it that 70 n back look. Rubber 90 % bike is sold as is and priced reasonably thining heard due to financial responsabilities. Was going to make bobber hence the no frills bullet proof bedliner paint job etc. Seat is also nos have new gasket set and primary is currently leaking did not change on reassembly due to possible final adjustments. Have both original titles and new title as 71 will need a little tweeking but has top compression on both cylinders. Still has original points and engine had over 19,000 miles when freshened,so electronic ignition or new points may be in order.Strong runner priced with a low reserve. The frame tab on ignition side needs to be repaired to mount side cover currently has steel strapping connected to oposite tab. I have a lot of $ and time invested but have to nix project.Good luck will make someone a nice little scoot usually starts 1st kick after primed. I will answer ? as soon as i can. Bike has clean original wheels,new bars and clean fork tubes with good seals. just throw a solo seat on and bolt on a hardtail and have a BA bobber :) good luckOn Oct-26-11 at 16:03:53 PDT, seller added the following information: I will have time to put new primary gasket on and change oil before auction end. No rust on this bike.
