LOT'S OF FUN AND MUSCLE !!! Here is a very fun 1967 Ford Mustang that is in reasonable condition!!!! It was heavily restored over the last ten years. There is LOTS of money that has been poured into the engine, suspension and drive train. The body still needs some love after an improperly applied clear-coat surfacing that will need to be redone (to be honest there's tiny bit of rust on the car, the paint is not in prime condition, so rather than repainting the car, I'm selling as-is - all potential buyers please ask any questions before you bid). In the short term, the car is wonderful to look at and a tremendous amount of fun to drive. This beast has a great "muscle car" throaty idle, and sounds EXACTLY the way a muscle car should with its thunderous sounding dual exhaust. Under the hood is a 351ci V-8 rebuilt engine mod' that was added by the previous owner out of a 1972 Ford Galaxy -- this extra power exhales through a wonderful sounding dual exhaust that gives a lot more jump and gravity in presence to the car overall. It's been an enjoyable vehicle to have, however I'm leaving for overseas this winter and must part ways with this car as it won't be used again for another year. Rather than pay to store it for the winter I'm looking for a simple quick sale with no reasonable offers turned away. The purchaser must be ready to close the deal - I want to sell the car as quick as possible. This is a fun vehicle, but in no way is it an excellent by-the-numbers showcar -- it's been used mainly for photo and music video shoots and the occassional weekend journey. As the owner for the past 6 years it's been stored in an entirely heated underground garage sitting on brand new tires. Here's a listing on some of the work done to it: In the rear you have de-arched springs with a rate of 150 lbs, the spings are mounted with shorter more rigid shackles, and have solid aluminum bushings in the rear spring eyes, with Koni adjustable shocks. The front has tubular upper and lower arms, the springs are shorter and have a rate of 450 lbs, the lower arms are for a '68 and newer, as the '67 was a stand alone year, the '68 had better geometry. The strut rods going to the lower arms are also for a '68 and have heim jointed ends. The diameter of the new strut rods is about double over stock. The mounting position of the upper arms was changed and the length of the upper arms is different. These crucial changes in position and length create whats known as a "negative roll geometry". That means the outside wheel on turns gains negative camber, the exact opposite of the stock geometry. Old Shelby racers used to re-mount the upper arms in an attempt to achieve this, but although they improved the Mustangs geometry, they still had not achieved a "negative roll suspension". You have Koni adjustable shocks in front, and your suspension arms are mounted with aluminum bushings. The body and chassis have been reinforced with weld in tubular frame connectors. This is a solid muscle-bound machine that should do it for any weekend warrior! This car earns lots of smiles and thumbs up every where you go and is a pleasure to drive. With some care it could make a great daily driver (or with some real polish) it could make it as a weekend show piece.I am willing to work with a buyer to arrange pick-up or shipping anywhere they need. All Reasonable Offers Considered! Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions. On Oct-26-11 at 14:52:42 PDT, seller added the following information: * due to a number of questions by potential buyers new imagery has been added to the listing that were shot this afternoon -- the photos showcase the undercarriage and the trunk (both in great condition) - the car passed NY State inspection and my mechanic gave it a clean bill of health -- the next steps with this car are cosmetic work (the clearcoat on the back trunk area needs to be redone - possibly repainted) -- the car makes a great daily driver, but if one is to make it show car quality some additional time and resources will need to be added. Drove it this weekend and it was fun as always with lots of shouts and waving from people we passed by... the main hope is it finds a nice home and experiences a new life in good hands.
