I am the original owner of this special order, fully-equipped vehicle that was $63,800 when new. I have had it meticulously maintained at my local Mercedes dealership since new. All service has been performed by Mercedes-Benz dealerships. No expense has been spared in keeping this R320 in top operating condition. All fluids have been flushed/changed regularly and all filters have been replaced regularly. The engine has run nothing but Mobil1 ESP Synthetic. All 4 sets of brake pads and rotors were replaced less than a year ago. EXTENDED WARRANTY When I purchased the R320 in July 2008, I also purchased an extended warranty contract from the Mercedes dealership. It is a 7 Year / 100,000 Mile “Platinum” warranty that basically covers every contemplated instance of mechanical failure. Obviously wear items are excluded. This warranty is provided by Fidelity Warranty Services and it is honored by all Mercedes-Benz dealerships and most independent shops as well. So far it has covered a replacement of the automatic rear liftgate motor and the replacement of two (2) tire pressure sensors. There is a $50 deductible. The paint is all original and shines like new having been garage kept and detailed regularly using Zaino wax. The only imperfections consist of two (2) small dings, one on the driver door near the handle and one on the passenger side behind the rear wheel. There is also a small, nearly imperceptible dent on the rear hatch near the license plate. The undercarriage is also in excellent condition, having never seen snow or salt. There is no rust or corrosion whatsoever. INTERIOR Like the exterior, the interior is also in great shape. The carpet, seats, door panels, dashboard, headliner have little to no wear and tear. The windshield and all window glass are original. This vehicle has NEVER EVER been smoked in. The optional second and third row retractable sunshades work great for blocking the sun, especially for young passengers. There are two (2) sets of floors mats, the all-season rubber mats and the carpet mats. MECHANICAL The car starts instantly whether cold or warm with no smoke. The engine consumes no oil between oil changes. The idle is smooth and quiet for a diesel engine. The car runs quiet and smooth and makes ample power. I have personally achieved an incredible 550 miles to a single tank of diesel fuel. Although a possibility, this car has never run biodiesel. The automatic transmission shifts perfectly. The car drives dead straight down the road with no shakes, rattles, or noises. The doors close like vaults and the car feels like a rolling fortress. The brakes are firm and strong with no pulsations. Each of the four matching Michelin tires have around 70% tread remaining and are wearing evenly. There are absolutely no fluid leaks or other indications of mechanical problems. Every part of this car is in perfect working order, including all power features and the air conditioning blows ice cold.
