Vehicle Detail
This is a real head turner. Very popular Ice Blue paint with Navy Interior and Convertible top. Original manuals(included) show original sale in Beverly Hills, CA and followup service all around the LA area and Southern California. I have been using the car as a special occasion driver over the past year and have kept it in the garage or covered in the driveway when not in use. The dry climate has been kind to the body panels and underside of the car. The rust issues that you see in these cars on the East Coast and even in the Pacific Northwest are no where to be seen on this vehicle. It is essentially rust free. The chrome wheels are very distinctive and have a matching spare in the trunk. The car operates well and I believe can be driven anywhere in the US. The car is currently registered and has passed smog inspection. The A/C system was completely overhauled in 2008. The timing chain was replaced at 54,600 miles. I have just replaced the 2 window switches with OEM switches from MB. Two of the three dashboard lights are working. The car appears perfect from 20 feet but as you get close or wash the car you will notice some nicks in the paint, especially on the edge of the drivers door. There is a slight depression in the driver's side front fender which is hard to photograph but is there. There is a small nick in the windshield smaller than a pencil eraser. The hardtop has a crack in the rear glass which does not leak. There are a couple of tears in the leather bow around the convertible top bonnet. The downside of the southern california weather has led to some sun damage to some interior components. The original blue dashboard top is cracked in several places. The Driver side head rest has split at the seam do to UV exposure but could be re-sewn by any upholstery guy. The other sun damage is some cracking of the material on the center arm rest. Each of these items has been photographed and can be seen in pictures that can be downloaded herehttp://gallery.me.com/glennfearon#100484THERE ARE 92 IMAGES LOCATED AT THAT LINK, PLEASE VIEW THEM PRIOR TO ASKING QUESTIONS. The emergency flasher relay switch will need to be replaced by the new owner. Until this is completed the directional signals will not work properly. NOTE: I DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE CAR WILL PASS CA SMOG OR YOUR STATE'S SMOG TEST. As stated above the car is currently registered and has a current smog certificate but my understanding is that the certificate will not transfer to the new owner.
