RESERVE LOWERED FOR THE SECOND TIME! If you are interested in purchasing a nice reliable Mercedes wagon, this car is for you. Please look at the detailed photos closely, and you will agree this is one of the cleanest 300 TE that you will find. When I bought this car four years ago, the seller put it through an intense mechanical check. Like me he liked nice stuff! All work was completed professionally, with receipts in my file. The original finish was slightly faded, with minor wear (couple of door dings, here and there). The original Desert Taupe base-coat clear-coat was professionally resprayed after a trim and hardware was removed. New gaskets were installed on door handles, etc. because the original gaskets were weathered. The windshield was replaced, however, only because it had a small stone-star at the top center. All sides glass is tinted.. Additionally, all wiper blades were replaced with M/B factory parts. The roof luggage rack was removed and decided not to replace it. The car looks better without the rack. In cold weather, the rear lift gate would tend to creep down, so shocks were installed. The exterior is straight as an arrow, and the clear-coat finish was color-sanded and buffed to meet my expectations. As a final touch, light tan stripe was added for an elegant look. Four Toyo P195/65R tires were installed on brand NEW alloy wheels (the original rims had pits and road rash). The steering damper was replaced, along with a complete transmission flush. This vehicle does NOT have the 4-matic. Spark plug wires , distributor cap and rotor were replaced, along with six new injectors. Bilsten front struts were installed and front alignment was performed. Oil changes every 3K were done. The cruise control does not engage, and since I don't use it, I never had it repaired. I am going to include a cruise control with this vehicle for the new owner (not installed though). I also discovered a hole in the rear muffler pipe. On July 28, 2011 I purchased and installed a brand new battery from the Mercedes dealership. This new battery has two years full warranty on it. This car runs smooth as a top, and on the highway, it's a dream. I have all the repair and maintenance history (paperwork) for this car from previous owner and myself for this vehicle. The interior shows no rips or tears. The rear 3rd seat folds flat when not needed. The factory Becker AM/FM radio works fine. There is a CD player, with a unit in the rear for storage of ten CDs. I have never used it personally, however my teenagers put CDs and played it. All power-windows, power-doors, as does the power moon-roof. If you are in the Baltimore-Metro area, I would suggest that you come take a look at this vehicle and drive it. You wouldn't be disappointed. My personal needs have changed, and I find myself needing to eliminate a vehicle. With a very low reserve, someone is going to get a great buy at a great price. I would expect a 25% deposit (certified funds only) within 72 hours , and full payment upon pick up. You can drive this car anywhere with confidence, however, there are sources of transportation at reasonable cost. I will only accept certified bank funds for the remainder of the price and will not release the vehicle until the funds clear my bank. I will not accept Paypal payments.
