Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for looking at my car! Up for sale is my much sought after 1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubble Top. 1961 was the first year the SS option was available, and set the tone for the muscle car war in the 60's. This car is originally from Georgia, and was driven back to Illinois roughly 20 years ago. My father and I were going to restore her and make her into an SS clone, but we no longer have the time nor the space to do such work. The car was dismantled and all the parts needed to restore her were purchased, such as all the trim, a brand new interior, all the SS badges and even the holy grail of the Impala SS an original like new condition grab bar! No expense was spared when it came to getting the right stuff for this car! It was originally a 283 car with a powerglide transmission. Which had been removed and is sitting next to my garage right now. The body of the car is very good considering its age. She is going to need floor pans, which I already have purchased, there are some spots on the car where there are pinholes but not major rust. She is also going to need a couple of spots patched see the pictures, the passenger side rear also has some bodywork done to her by the previous owner, they ended up rippling the quarter a bit, but I am sure it can be fixed with little effort. All the glass is there and in great shape! The whole front end of the car has newer ball joints and tie rods! The interior for the car is a Ciadella (I think that was the name) interior, this was top of the line stuff when it was purchased! Its made from the same fabrics used by Chevrolet back in the 60's. It is still boxed up in the boxes that they were delivered it, I don't really want to open them up too much they are that nice! The bumpers are in great shape, and I also have a NOS rear bumper for the car! There is an abundance of trim for the car, I have doubles and triples of most of the parts, two grilles, 3 sets of headlight bezels, I have 3 factory radios for the car as well, I can probably go on and on for days about the amount of parts I have, but I will leave it to the pictures to give you an idea of whats there. I try to explain everything as best as possible but I may have forgotten a thing or two so if you have any other questions, or you want to come check her out feel free to call me @ 331-645-3246, my name is Rob, if I don't answer leave me a message and I will return your call! Thanks for looking! MORE PICTURE OF THE CAR AND ALL THE PARTS CAN BE SEEN ON PHOTOBUCKET, FOLLOW THE LINK TO SEE ALL 183 PICTURES! http://s396.photobucket.com/albums/pp49/smkwd427/1961%20Chevy%20Impala/?start=all Now to the part I hate the most, Payment is due in full when the car is being picked up, I do require a 500 non-refundable deposit when the listing has ended.
