Vehicle Detail
For Sale is a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda. Car is Originally a 318 Car but was factory optioned with the Kelsey Heyes 4 piston Caliper disc brakes up front that work well. It was also factory optioned with the 8 3/4 sure grip rear end that works perfectly but I had 3.91 richmond gears installed. It also was optioned with the deluxe interior which included the wood grain dash and door panel accents. Car has Bucket seats up front. The car currently has a 1974 360 installed with a holley 600 cfm carb and an M1 single plane manifold (all I had in the garage to get it running but it would have more torque with a dual plane). The motor is bone stock and runs well but it does had hedmann headers and the smaller lightweight high torque starter. The Transmission is a 727 that was rebuilt with a hughes transmission kit and a chrome extra quart oil pan and a B&M cooler. There is a driveshaft loop installed. The gel cell battery has been moved to the trunk and a on/off switch installed. The Headliner, back seats, door panels, and carpet are in good shape or almost new condition. All the interior needs to look good is a dash pad and new vinyl covers for the front bucket seats. All of the interior lights work, however the dash lights are a little dim, the connection to the back just needs to be cleaned. There is a Hurst Quarter stick installed with a cable but I do have the original shifter and all the associated linkage to return to stock if desired. I also have the original steering wheel and horn button to return to stock if desired. The body is in good condition with the exception of minor dings. There is no major cancer if any minor rust. The roof was sanded and sealed with a sealing primer/ rust killer primer. As the pictures show I started doing some sanding and some minor priming but just do not have the time for this project anymore. This car mostly needs minor body work to be a nice drivable barracuda. The largest dent is shown in a picture on the left quarter panel. I have owned the car since 2002 and have not had any problems with rust. I was hoping to turn this into a fast street/strip car but as I stated before just dont have the time. It is too good of a car for an easy project to keep for myself. A simple walkaround. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mi1B1805KqA
