Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1997 Jeep Wrangler Hard Top. While the mileage is high this is a very reliable vehicle, it is an extra vehicle for us but I commute the 50 miles to work with it regularly and have never had a problem, I would drive this Jeep anywhere! Overall condition is better then average for the year and mileage of the vehicle, the front bucket seats were replaced with reclining JC Whitney cloth seats for improved comfort, all the components work as designed, clutch feels good, drives straight and smooth, burns absolutely no oil, four wheel drive works great, and plenty of tire life and brake life left (Tires have about 10,000 miles on then). This would make a great first vehicle, toy vehicle, or regular commuter for someone. While it is currently located in central NY it spent most of its life in salt-free Pennsylvania, so the rust on the frame and underside is surface rust only, the floor pans and rear floor are in amazing condition (note as can be seen in the picture I painted the driver side floor with a black protecting paint, even tough there was no rust the original paint was starting to wear away, there was no body repair performed on the floor pan, paint only. I can assure you the floor pan is rock solid and in beautiful condition) The bottom of the windshield does show the worst rust on the vehicle and can be seen in the photos. Rear panels, frame, rockers, doors, fenders are all in very good condition. One item of note is that the rear window no longer stays open (the gas shocks are shot and need to be replaced, available at many parts stores) and the rear defroster/wiper does not work on the hardtop, not sure why). There hinges on the rear window are corrosion free and there are no structural problems with the window or top. The reason we are selling the Wrangler is because my wife and I own five vehicle and need to cut the "fleet" back a bit to save on insurance costs, so after much discussion and hesitancy we finally decided to sell the Jeep. I have the clear title in hand so this will be a orderly sale with no leans on the vehicle. You are more then welcome to view and test the drive the Jeep, you will not be disappointed! A paypal or cash deposit of $200 is due with 2 days of the end of auction and full payment is due within 7 days. I would prefer to not take full payment via paypal (want to avoid the service charges). If you choose to pay with any form of a cashier's or banker's check it must clear before pick-up the vehicle, cash is greatly preferred (I've been burnt before). Pick-up is the responsibility of the buyer but I am willing to work with you if you want to ship the Jeep somewhere. Any questions do not hesitate to ask. Thanks and happy bidding!
