A presentable daily driver, 1969 Porsche 911 T Targa 2.0 This vehicle has been in the same family for over 14 years. It sat in storage for the majority of that time. In the past two years the car has received extensive repairs to the floor, the body and most recently the original 2.0 engine and 901 transmission. The floor was repaired a little while back and is solid. Not much rust if any, there is a small spot near the left front battery box. Paint was also redone in the past and I'd say it's a 7 out of ten. Overall the body is in good condition. While it is not concourse, it is solid, straight, clean and very presentable. Better than most daily drivers of this vintage. The engine was rebuilt with the higher compression Mahle 911 E pistons and Biral cylinders as an upgrade. The rebuild is from the crank up, any part not within spec was replaced with new parts. Cylinder heads have new guides, fresh valves and the valve seats a precision 3 angle valve grind. The original Zenith carbs were refreshed with new gaskets and seals. New electric fuelpump installed. Ignition system is the original Magnetti Marrelli system and it works flawless. The car has been driven no more than 900 km since the engine was installed this past spring ( May 2011) Brakes are new all around, including hand brake. Tires have approximately 2000 km on them. The spare in the trunk is original to the car and has a period correct tire. The interior, with the exception of the door cards, is completely original and in excellent shape for it's age. New carpets were installed at the time that the floor was repaired. The dash is cracked and the gauges show their age. Though, they are original to the car. This car came with optional air conditioning. The A/C compressor was removed some time ago, however all the other related parts are still there such as the vents below the kneepad with controls and ducting. The A/C motor and electronics located in the smugglers box are undisturbed. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. The engine serial number is: 6196640 Some details on the engine. 66mm crankshaft, main bearings are standaard size as are the rod bearings. Oil pump is a 3 rib unit as used on the 2.7 engines. Pistons are 911E 80mm Mahle pistons 9.1:1 CR and 80mm Mahle Biral cylinders also of the 2.0E. Top ringland clearance on the pistons are 0.002 inch. Piston ring set is new and are made by Goetze. Heads are reconditioned original numbers matching 69T heads. Camshafts are stock 911T cams. Conterbalanced flywheel, new clutch disk and pressure plate.
