Vehicle Detail
I have a 1976 Buick Electra 225 Limited. It has 4 new tires on it. This was my fathers car and I now have to find a home for it. The rear has damage from backing into things. The landau top looks like it can be restored. The interior is pretty clean, although it was not cleaned up for these pictures. I didn't see any rust on the body. Shipping: Buyers responsibility for vehicle pick up or shipping. Payment deposit of $1,000 required within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment required within 7 days of auction close in cash only - no exceptions. Please email me and I will try to answer any of your questions. All Electras were powered by Buick's 455 in³ (7.5 L) engine between 1971 and 1976. Even at its weakest state, the Buick-built 455 engine still produced 345 lb·ft (468 N·m) of torque at 2000 rpm. The 455 was the standard engine on the Electra. Several watchers of this auction have asked me similar questions. I will update the description with the answers to save me from sending the same information to many of you interested in the car. Thanks for all the questions. The drivers side power door lock works, the passenger side does not. The power windows work The power seat works The radio works The rear view mirror needs to be glued back on the windshield The drivers rear view mirror is cracked and is loose The indicator needle on the dash is stuck on "D" drive, but does not affect the shifting of gears from park, drive, neutral, reverse and others The car has brand new tires and a new battery There is no strange engine noise when the car is running There is no rust underneath on the floor boards The muffler should be replaced, It sounds like it has a small hole in it The car does not smoke The drivers door arm rest is cracked See the pictures for the broken pieces above the back lights due to an old man backing into poles along his driveway. I had to take his keys away from him I have the title for the car The landau top around the rear windows is a little rough. I have pictures if anyone would like to see them The car is drivable, as far as picking up the car and driving it to another state, I really couldn't advise you on that. If you are mechanically inclined, you would be the better judge of that. The car was driven by my dad around town and that was about it.
